On the numerical solution of schroedinger's radial equation
Journal of Computational Physics, 1974Abstract Higher-order difference schemes are considered for the numerical solution of Schroedinger's radial equation. They are a family of difference equations which are extensions of the well-known Numerov difference equation and give highly convergent approximate solutions, the least being O(h6) compared to O(h4) in the Numerov equation.

Singular limit of radial solutions in an annulus
Asymptotic Analysis, 2007In this paper we study the radial solutions of the problem [Formula: see text] where Ω is an annulus of R N , N≥2 and λ is close to zero. Among the other results we show the existence of a singular limit and some ...

RADIAL SOLUTIONS FOR WEIGHTED SEMILINEAR EQUATIONS
Communications in Contemporary Mathematics, 2002In this paper we prove the exact cut-off between existence and nonexistence of radial solutions in a class of problems of the Brezis–Nirenberg type. We obtain this by studying the existence/nonexistence of positive solutions in [Formula: see text] for -vtt+¼v=vp-1 +λe-ctv, for different values of the parameters c>0 and λ, for p≥2.

A Minimal Solution to Radial Distortion Autocalibration
IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 2011Simultaneous estimation of radial distortion, epipolar geometry, and relative camera pose can be formulated as a minimal problem and solved from a minimal number of image points. Finding the solution to this problem leads to solving a system of algebraic equations.

Radial Solutions: The ODE Method
1997In this chapter, we consider the equation $$ - \Delta u + f(r,u)\quad {\text{in}}\;{{\mathbb{R}}^{N}}, $$ (19.1) where we denote r = |x|.

Radially Stable Periodic Solutions for Radially Symmetric Keplerian-Like Systems
Journal of Dynamical and Control Systems, 2016In this paper, the author considers a planar system of Kepler type with radial symmetry and \(T\)-periodic time dependence given by \[ \ddot x+f(t,|x|)\frac{x}{|x|}=0.\tag{1} \] The typical model is \(f(t,r)=\frac{h(t)}{r^\alpha}-e(t)\) with \(\alpha>0\) and \(h(t),e(t)\) \(T\)-periodic functions.
