Radial yield variations in semiconductor wafers

Detailed examination of yield data from several different products in two different technologies and two different wafer sizes has shown a pronounced radial dependence. In all cases, the yield profile has a distinct knee starting at about 10 mm from the wafer periphery, dropping steeply within the final 5 mm.

Radial porosity variations in packed beds

AbstractThe radial variation of void fraction in randomly packed beds of spheres, cylinders, Raschig rings, and Berl saddles was investigated. After packing, the beds were filled with paraffin, which was then allowed to solidify. Slabs were cut from the bed, and annular rings were removed by two different experimental techniques.

Radial and Tangential Variation of Deuterium in Hailstones

Abstract Radial variations of deuterium content are measured in nine large hailstones from three storms; of tritium content in one of the nine; and tangential variations of deuterium content in a wet-growth layer in five of the nine. Crystal size and air bubble content are noted as well.

Radial Velocity Variations in Cool Supergiants

AbstractA survey of F, G, and W supergiants has been carried out with the DAO radial velocity spectrometer, an efficient instrument for detecting low-amplitude velocity variations in cool stars. Observations of 78 stars over five seasons show generally good agreement with OORAVEL results for spectroscopie binaries.

Radial variations of G on the galactic scale

We consider the idea of replacing the gravitational constant G by a function depending on the surrounding medium and whose variation would be noticeable on the galactic scale. Such a function in newtonian dynamics allows one to explain the flat region of the rotation velocity curves of many galaxies, without the dark matter hypothesis.
