Primary phases and a fatigue crack are studied in a forged blank of an aluminum alloy using synchrotron and laboratory X‐ray computed tomography. To image the crack, the fatigue test is interrupted, and a static tensile load is applied to open the crack.

Extreme Long Period Eclipsing Binary Epsilon Aurigae [PDF]
From the study of a spectroscopic plate of epsilon Aurigae, we can measure the radial velocity and the relative abundance for this eclipsing binary. Calculated radial velocity is -37 Km/s and the abundance of [Fe] is estimated as -1.5.
