Radial basis function network for well log data inversion

The 2011 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks, 2011
We adopt the radial basis function network (RBF) for well log data inversion. We propose the 3 layers RBF. Inside RBF, the 1-layer perceptron is replaced by 2-layer perceptron. It can do more nonlinear mapping. The gradient descent method is used in the back propagation learning rule at 2-layer perceptron.

Radial Well Models Applications During Well Commissioning Operations on Kashagan Field

Proceedings, 2011
Radial well modeling is a powerful tool of reservoir simulation. Due to excellent spatial resolution of near wellbore zone radial models are used to investigate the flow in the vicinity of the well. Kashagan is a giant offshore oilfield located in the North Caspian Sea, which development has a lot of challenges.

Improving Well Productivity in North Kuwait Well by Optimizing Radial Drilling Procedures

SPE International Conference and Exhibition on Formation Damage Control, 2018
Abstract Reservoir management requires continual efforts to identify opportunities for production enhancement. Radial Drilling (RD) technology is a method for production optimization by extending the contact area with reservoir. It utilizes hydraulic jetting energy to create several lateral holes within the zones of interest along ...

Recurrence relations for oscillator-well radial integrals

Mathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 1958
ABSTRACTThe general radial integral between oscillator-well wave-functions with a Gauss interaction potential is expressed as a generalized hypergeometric function. A relation between contiguous functions is found and used to obtain a recurrence relation between these integrals.

Transition Radial Flow in Slanted Well Test Analysis

SPE Latin American and Caribbean Petroleum Engineering Conference, 2015
Abstract The applicability of permanent downhole gauges (PDG) has been proved to be of great contribution to reservoir monitoring and well performance analysis. By the interpretation of any each build-up and/or fall-off from PDG readings it is possible to improve the near wellbore characterization, mainly because PDG signatures usually ...

Flow Test Analysis for a Well with Radial Discontinuity

Journal of Petroleum Technology, 1969
Flow test data on a well with radial discontinuity in its drainage area can be interpreted so that the mobility of the zones and the radial distance to the discontinuity can be obtained. Introduction During the last few years, several authors have advanced mathematical solutions, both exact and ...

Radial Collector Wells Adjacent to the River Bank

Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1963
Capacity of a radial collector well adjacent to the river bank depends on diameter of the filtration gallery which is formed during the collector construction, height of collectors above the. impervious stratum, collector length, number of collectors, distance from the river bank, well spacing (if wells are disposed in an array), aquifer thickness ...

An Investigation of Polymer Mechanical Degradation in Radial Well Geometry

Transport in Porous Media, 2019
It can be challenging to forecast polymer flooding performance at the field, in large part because of the complex non-Newtonian fluid rheology of polymer solutions. In this paper, we apply a model, previously developed to study linear core flooding experiments, to investigate polymer behaviour in radial flow near a vertical injector. The polymer system
