Rhino-orbital mucormycosis in COVID-19 patients—a new threat?
Background Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is known to be associated with a myriad of viral, fungal, and bacterial co-infections. Rhino-orbital mucormycosis is a rare angio-invasive fungal infection which has shown a rising trend in the setting of ...

The goal of this work is to perform 3D reconstruction and novel view synthesis from data captured by scanning platforms commonly deployed for world mapping in urban outdoor environments (e.g., Street View). Given a sequence of posed RGB images and lidar sweeps acquired by cameras and scanners moving through an outdoor scene, we produce a model from ...

Spectral invariant behavior of zenith radiance around cloud edges observed by ARM SWS [PDF]
The ARM Shortwave Spectrometer (SWS) measures zenith radiance at 418 wavelengths between 350 and 2170 nm. Because of its 1-sec sampling resolution, the SWS provides a unique capability to study the transition zone between cloudy and clear sky areas.

Calculation of the radiance distribution at the boundary of an isotropically scattering slab [PDF]
The radiance arising from an anisotropically scattering illuminated stack of n slabs is calculated using the equation of radiative transfer. It appears to be unnecessary to calculate the radiance inside the material; including only the radiance at the ...

Addressing the Shape-Radiance Ambiguity in View-Dependent Radiance Fields
We present a method for handling view-dependent information in radiance fields to help with convergence and quality of 3D reconstruction. Radiance fields with view-dependence suffers from the so called shape-radiance ambiguity, which can lead to incorrect geometry given a high angular resolution of view-dependent colors.
