Microclimf: Fast modelling of microclimate across real landscapes in R

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, EarlyView.
Abstract Many ecological studies require climate data, but readily available datasets are poor surrogates for the conditions that organisms experience in nature. Understanding the climatic conditions experienced by organisms requires modelling microclimate rather than relying on coarse, station‐based climate data.

Validating a low‐cost alternative to body surface area estimation: Implications for energy budgets and scaling relationships of ectotherms

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, EarlyView.
Abstract The surface area of organisms is a key parameter in ecological and evolutionary applications. For example, surface area‐dependent traits such as rates of cutaneous water loss and of heat absorbed are relevant for predicting animal desiccation rates and body temperatures.

Physicians' hybridisation with accounting in public hospitals

open access: yesAccounting &Finance, EarlyView.
Abstract Accounting information has become an integral part of management tools in public hospitals. Voice of Asia: Provision of Patient‐Centered Care in Oral Cavity Cancer: A Qualitative Study With Patients, Caregivers, and Healthcare Professionals in Five Asia‐Pacific Regions

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology, EarlyView.
The study identified key barriers to optimal patient‐centered care, including delayed diagnosis due to awareness and stigma‐related barriers among patients and caregivers, and opportunities to enhance multidisciplinary coordination. Resource limitations impacted nursing and psychosocial support, while access to support care varied across regions.
