Evaluation of Low Dose Rate Sensitivity in Discrete Bipolar Junction Transistors [PDF]

open access: yes
We evaluate the low dose rate sensitivity in several families of discrete bipolar transistors across device parameter, quality assurance level, and irradiation bias configuration.

Hydrogenated Amorphous Silicon Charge-Selective Contact Devices on a Polyimide Flexible Substrate for Dosimetry and Beam Flux Measurements

open access: yesSensors
Hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) devices on flexible substrates are currently being studied for application in dosimetry and beam flux measurements. The necessity of in vivo dosimetry requires thin devices with maximal transparency and flexibility.

Observation of the Far-ultraviolet Continuum Background with SPEAR/FIMS

open access: yes, 2011
We present the general properties of the far-ultraviolet (FUV; 1370-1720A) continuum background over most of the sky, obtained with the Spectroscopy of Plasma Evolution from Astrophysical Radiation instrument (SPEAR, also known as FIMS), flown aboard the

Mesoporous Carbon Thin Films with Large Mesopores as Model Material for Electrochemical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous carbon thin films possessing 70 nm mesopores are prepared on titanium substrates by soft templating of resol resins with a self‐synthesized poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(hexyl acrylate) block copolymer. A strategy to avoid corrosion of the metal substrate is presented, and the films are extensively characterized in terms of morphology ...

Robust and Reversible Thermofluorescence in Solvent‐Free Thermoplastic Polyurethane Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thermofluorescent polymer composites with high‐contrast optical outputs are prepared by solvent‐free blending of indenoquinacridone dye into a thermoplastic polyurethane matrix. The temperature‐dependent fluorescence originates from aggregation–dissociation of the dye molecules, regulated by competing hydrogen bonds from the polymer matrix.

Study of the Influence of the Voltage Regulator Integrated Circuit Topology on its Radiation Hardness

open access: yesПриборы и методы измерений
Method of recording responses to radiation exposure is considered using the X-ray complex RIK-0401 and it is shown that for linear voltage regulators integrated circuits it allows diagnosing presence of changes in their topology. Four types of integrated

Overcoming the Stability Issue for Hydrophobic Hole Transporting Layers Utilized in Tin‐Lead Perovskite and Tandem Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A non‐annealed process is developed for non‐PEDOT:PSS inverted tin‐lead perovskite solar cells to attain PCE 22.67% for the PTAA‐based device. When PTAA is applied in an all‐perovskite tandem solar cell, a record efficiency of 28.14% is obtained with great stability for the efficiency maintaining 96% of its original value for 500 h under one‐sun ...

An Unsupervised Learning Approach to Validate the Robustness of Octagonal MOSFETs in X-Ray Environments

open access: yesIEEE Access
This work presents a comparative statistical investigation into the enhanced ionizing radiation hardness between the Octagonal (OnM) and Conventional (CnM) MOSFETs under X-ray environment. The primary objective is to quantify the robustness of OnM across

Recent Progress on 3D Silicon Detectors

open access: yes, 2015
3D silicon detectors, in which the electrodes penetrate the sensor bulk perpendicular to the surface, have recently undergone a rapid development from R\&D over industrialisation to their first installation in a real high-energy-physics experiment. Since
