Crop micrometeorology : a simulation study
This monograph presents the results of a detailed study in micrometeorology; one of the sciences that play an important role in production ecology. The purpose is to explain the microweather as a function of the properties of plant and soil, and of the ...

We investigate the geometry‐governed optoelectronic anisotropy arising from dielectric confinement in quasi‐1D γ‐GaS nanoribbons with intrinsically isotropic atomic structures. Dielectric mismatch between the nanoribbon and its surroundings leads to a general polarization‐dependent photoresponse during near‐field scattering.

Relative contributions of light interception and radiation use efficiency to the reduction of maize productivity under cold temperatures [PDF]
Maize (Zea mays L.) is a chill-susceptible crop cultivated in northern latitude environments. The detrimental effects of cold on growth and photosynthetic activity have long been established.

TRIM: Simultaneous Thermometry, Ranging, and Imaging via a Monolithic Metalens
ABSTRACT While metasurfaces offer a pathway beyond the discrete architectures of conventional LWIR systems, physically fusing high‐precision thermometry and passive ranging onto a single metalens remains a formidable challenge. Here, we demonstrate a monolithic, dual‐focus metalens capable of simultaneous multidimensional sensing.

A phosphide‐modified multimetallic HER electrode achieves industrial‐level performance with minimal noble‐metal content. It delivers 1.7 A cm−2 at 2.0 V in 6 M KOH at 70°C and operates stably for over 200 h at 500 mA cm−2. Phosphorus tuning of the electronic structure optimizes hydrogen adsorption, offering a durable, high‐rate pathway for alkaline ...

Rate and duration of seed filling and yield of soybean affected by water and radiation deficits
Seed filling and yield of soybean under water and radiation deficits were investigated during 2011 and 2012. Treatments were irrigations (I1, I2, I3 and I4 for irrigation after 60, 90, 120 and 150 mm evaporation from class A pan, respectively) in main ...

Our work bridges the gap between skyrmion discovery and material design by demonstrating how atomic‐scale control of exchange interactions enables tunable skyrmion phase transitions in centrosymmetric magnetic metals. ABSTRACT Magnetic skyrmions are topologically protected spin states that hold promise for shaping the future of electronics.

ABSTRACT Layered 2D materials are considered as promising for memristive applications due to their ultimate vertical scalability compared to conventional semiconductor films and pronounced hysteresis properties. Bias‐resolved Raman and Photoluminescence mapping is used to quantify strain from phonon shifts and carrier density from the exciton‐trion ...
