Novel nonlinear mechanism of the generation of non-thermal continuum radiation

Physics of Plasmas, 2019
We study a novel nonlinear mechanism which could be responsible for the generation of the non-thermal continuum radiation. We propose a mathematical model and perform numerical simulations using 2-D electromagnetic code KEMPO2 to verify the proposed mechanism.

Non-thermal activation of the hsp27/p38MAPK stress pathway by mobile phone radiation in human endothelial cells: Molecular mechanism for cancer- and blood-brain barrier-related effects

Differentiation, 2002
We have examined whether non-thermal exposures of cultures of the human endothelial cell line EA.hy926 to 900 MHz GSM mobile phone microwave radiation could activate stress response. Results obtained demonstrate that 1-hour non-thermal exposure of EA.hy926 cells changes the phosphorylation status of numerous, yet largely unidentified, proteins.

Degradation mechanisms and non-linear thermal cycling effects in a high-temperature light-absorber coating

, 2020
Absorber coatings in concentrating solar power (CSP) convert focused solar radiation into heat. Competitive and reliable CSP technologies require absorber coatings to be stable at high temperatures for many years of operation, and thus accelerated ageing

Gamma Radiation Chemistry of Polydimethylsiloxane Foam in Radiation-Thermal Environments: Experiments and Simulations.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2021
The γ radiolysis behavior of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) in the radiation-thermal environments (dose rate, 0.2 Gy/s) is studied to pinpoint the basic knowledge of the temperature (20-70 °C) effects. The non-monotonous temperature effects on the formation

Effects of Dufour and Soret mechanisms on MHD mixed convective-radiative non-Newtonian liquid flow and heat transfer over a porous sheet

, 2020
The mixed convection heat transfer combined with thermal radiation of a viscoelastic liquid circulation driven by a porous accelerating sheet under the inclined uniform magnetic field impact is studied.

Nanofluids flow driven by peristaltic pumping in occurrence of magnetohydrodynamics and thermal radiation

Materials Science in Semiconductor Processing, 2019
A mathematical model is presented to study the nanofluids flow driven by peristalsis mechanisms through asymmetric channel. The electrically-conducting nature of the nanofluid demands magnetohydrodynamic effects.

Enhanced luminescence and quenching mechanisms in Na⁺ Co-doped K₇CaY₂(B₅O₁₀)₃:Tb3+ phosphors under UV radiation.

Applied Radiation and Isotopes
This study investigates the structural and luminescent properties UV radiation of Tb³⁺-doped K₇CaY₂(B₅O₁₀)₃ (KCYBO) phosphors prepared using a microwave-assisted sol-gel method, with a focus on the impact of Na⁺ co-doping.
