Mechanisms and possibilities of defect reorganization in III–V compounds due to the non-thermal microwave radiation treatment

open access: closedJournal of Luminescence, 2017
Abstract The influence of microwave radiation (2.45 GHz) treatment on processes of reorganization and generation of defects in epitaxial films of GaN and GaAs has been studied. Physical reasons of the observed transformations caused by specific non-thermal action of microwave radiation have been analyzed.

Benzene decomposition by non-thermal plasma: A detailed mechanism study by synchrotron radiation photoionization mass spectrometry and theoretical calculations

open access: closedJournal of Hazardous Materials, 2021
Non-thermal Plasma (NTP) catalysis is considered as one of the most promising technologies to address a wide range of environmental needs, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and NOx removal. To meet the updated environmental emission standard, the NTP catalysis reaction system needs to be better understood and further optimized.

A model for thermal protection ablative material with local thermal non-equilibrium and thermal radiation mechanisms

open access: closed, 2021
Novel resin-based ablative materials are manufactured for the Thermal Protection System (TPS) of hypersonic aircraft in recent years to adapt more extreme aerothermodynamic environment.

Non-thermal activation of the hsp27/p38MAPK stress pathway by mobile phone radiation in human endothelial cells: Molecular mechanism for cancer- and blood-brain barrier-related effects

open access: closedDifferentiation, 2002
We have examined whether non-thermal exposures of cultures of the human endothelial cell line EA.hy926 to 900 MHz GSM mobile phone microwave radiation could activate stress response. Results obtained demonstrate that 1-hour non-thermal exposure of EA.hy926 cells changes the phosphorylation status of numerous, yet largely unidentified, proteins.
