Gravitational Collapse of Null Radiation and a String fluid [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2003
We consider the end state of collapsing null radiation with a string fluid. It is shown that, if diffusive transport is assumed for the string, that a naked singularity can form (at least locally).

Means of Employing Radiation Nulls in Filtennas: A Review

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this paper, methods for improving frequency selectivity in filter antennas by employing controllable radiation nulls (RN) are reviewed. Radiation nulls in the Gain graph help in improving the rejection of out-of-band frequencies.

Radiation properties of extreme nulling pulsar J1502-5653 [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2012
We report on radiation properties of extreme nulling pulsar J1502-5653, by analyzing the data acquired from the Parkes 64-m telescope at 1374 MHz. The radio emission from this pulsar exhibits sequences of several tens to several hundreds consecutive ...

Macrophage derived VEGF regulates macrophage senescence to inhibit radiation-induced dermatitis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine
Background Macrophages are essential for maintaining tissue homeostasis and accelerating the repair processes; however, their functionality can be severely compromised in pathological conditions such as radiation-induced dermatitis.

Inference under outcome misclassification in health risk models using a simulation study with a validation dataset [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
Death certificates are commonly used in epidemiological studies investigating the relationship between exposure and health outcomes. It is known that death certificates may misclassify the underlying causes of death, and it is commonly understood that if

Radiation Hardened NULL Convention Logic Asynchronous Circuit Design

open access: yesJournal of Low Power Electronics and Applications, 2015
This paper proposes a radiation hardened NULL Convention Logic (NCL) architecture that can recover from a single event latchup (SEL) or single event upset (SEU) fault without deadlock or any data loss.

A Dual-Polarized Bandwidth Enhanced Filtering Dipole Antenna Design for 5G

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The present study proposes a dual-polarized bandwidth-enhanced filtering specialized dipole antenna design for 5G by employing a wide printed dipole, filtering resonators, a reflector surface, and specially designed balun structures. Such a configuration

Scoping the characteristics and benefits of a connected double-null configuration for power exhaust in EU-DEMO

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2021
A double-null configuration is being considered for the EU-DEMO, due to its potential benefits for power exhaust arising from the use of two active divertors and magnetically disconnected low- and high-field sides.

Null radiation zone at the LHC [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2013
The null radiation zone theorem states that, when special kinematical conditions are satisfied, all the helicity amplitudes of a parton-level subprocess where a vector current is emitted vanish due to destructive interference among different diagrams. We study the manifestation of the theorem in $pp$ collisions at the $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV LHC.
