Radiation patterns of arbitrarily oriented radiating elements

1995 International Conference on Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (INCEMIC), 2002
The radiation patterns of horizontal and vertical dipoles have been reported in the literature. These results are used in the analysis and design of arrays of parallel vertical elements and collinear elements. However no information is available for the arbitrarily oriented elements. The element patterns of such elements are derived from the concept of

The Radiation Patterns

1969
Having examined the boundary value problem, we now want to consider a problem which might be called the boundary problem at infinity, because we want to study solutions of the Maxwell equations which have a specified asymptotic behavior. We already discussed this question in § 8 for the case e = μ = 1 and here we assume again these same values of e and

Adjustment of Radiation Pattern of Street Luminaire

2019 21st International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2019
This article deals with the analyze of the radiation pattern of the street luminaire Boos Naica and suggests its modifications by turning the LEDs and reflecting surfaces. The goal is to create a more uniform optical power distribution. The street luminaires can provide two functions at the same time, illumination and communication. It is important for

Antenna Radiation Pattern Compressive Sensing

MILCOM 2018 - 2018 IEEE Military Communications Conference (MILCOM), 2018
Modern wireless communications is placing ever greater demands on the system's antenna. But high-resolution, wide-band antenna pattern measurement remains a slow, expensive process that can hinder research, development, and production. This paper explores the use of compressive sensing to accelerate the measurement process.

Intensity patterns of solar ultraviolet radiation

Environmental Research, 1977
Abstract Using field measurements of ultraviolet radiation, intensity patterns by time of day and time of year are examined. Depending on location, 39 to 80% of the half-hourly readings of sufficient intensity to produce minimum erythema occur between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm during the late spring and early summer months of May through August.

Patterns of coevolution in the adaptive radiation of crossbills

Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 2010
Although evidence for coevolution and geographic variation in its apparent strength is increasing, we still have a relatively poor understanding of why coevolution varies among interactions. Here we review how variation in the occurrence of competitors, resource stability, habitat area, and time has affected the extent of trait escalation in ...

Beam-shaped radiation pattern for uniform radiated power distribution

2014 IEEE Latin-America Conference on Communications (LATINCOM), 2014
This paper presents the application of optimization methods for the synthesis of antenna arrays. The desired pattern shall exhibit a shape that allows uniform distribution of the radiated power on the Earth. Besides beamshaping, the optimization methods allow controlling the level of the sidelobes.

Some relations between the radiation patterns in the two main planes and the whole radiation pattern

Laser Radiation and Motility Patterns of Human Sperm

Archives of Andrology, 1989
Human sperm were exposed in vitro to laser radiation. An increase in progressive sperm motility was associated with a faster rate of sperm ATP consumption. Computer-assisted analysis of sperm motility confirmed the positive effect of laser irradiation on velocity and linearity of sperm.

Radiation Pattern of Parabolic Reflector

IETE Technical Review, 1999
Radiation pattern of parabolic reflector can be computed using various numerical methods. Moment method is convenient for small objects in terms of wavelength. When the dimension of the radiating objects are large compared to wavelength, high frequency asymptotic techniques like GTD (Geometrical Theory of Diffraction) gives very accurate results in ...
