Plasma Antenna Radiation Patterns
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2003Elevation angle pattern measurements of our Plasma Antenna are presented and compared with results from computer models. Good agreement is found for the measurements with patterns predicted by our linearly decreasing conductivity model for the plasma antenna, derived from computer models using readily available packages.

Patterns of care in radiation oncology
Seminars in Oncology Nursing, 1999To provide an overview of the Patterns of Care Study (PCS) in radiation oncology and to discuss the progress and impact of the PCS on clinical practice.Research studies and review articles. The PCS has demonstrated tremendous impact on the delivery of radiation oncology services in the United States.

A Dual Band Additively Manufactured 3-D Antenna on Package With Near-Isotropic Radiation Pattern
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2018Internet of Things (IoT) applications need wireless connectivity on devices with very small footprints, and in RF obscure environments. The antenna for such applications must work on multiple global system for mobile communication (GSM) bands (preferred ...

Having examined the boundary value problem, we now want to consider a problem which might be called the boundary problem at infinity, because we want to study solutions of the Maxwell equations which have a specified asymptotic behavior. We already discussed this question in § 8 for the case e = μ = 1 and here we assume again these same values of e and

Radiation patterns from vortex-antivortex annihilation
Physical Review D, 1990We simulate vortex-antivortex annihilation in (2+1)-dimensional O(2) scalar field theory, under a variety of initial conditions. In all cases the energy density of Goldstone-boson radiation shows a sin{sup 2}{alpha} dependence on the angle {alpha} from the final approach due to emission from linear acceleration during the approach and from the overlap ...

Downlink Multi-User MIMO Transmission for Radiation Pattern Reconfigurable Antenna Systems
IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2018MU-MIMO transmission relies on exploiting multi-user diversity among a multitude of users. In this paper, to enhance MU-MIMO transmission, techniques for designing and exploiting reconfigurable antennas (RAs) are developed. A single-element RA is capable

Intensity patterns of solar ultraviolet radiation
Environmental Research, 1977Abstract Using field measurements of ultraviolet radiation, intensity patterns by time of day and time of year are examined. Depending on location, 39 to 80% of the half-hourly readings of sufficient intensity to produce minimum erythema occur between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm during the late spring and early summer months of May through August.

Conformal Capsule Antenna With Reconfigurable Radiation Pattern for Robust Communications
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2018The orientation of a capsule changes randomly when it traverses in the gastrointestinal tract, which might result in communication failures between the capsule and the external equipment.

Calculating antenna radiation patterns
Electrical Engineering, 1944CALCULATIONS of the horizontal relative field patterns of antennas are long and laborious and increase in complexity with the number of antenna elements employed. Present calculating machines are useful only for antenna-beam arrays consisting of not over three elements.
