Radiation tolerance of the vaginal mucosa

Abstract Sixteen patients with cancer of the vagina that were controlled locally for a minimum of eighteen months after teletherapy (T) or brachytherapy (B) or both (T & B), were analyzed for radiation tolerance of the vaginal mucosa. The site of vaginal necrosis did not always coincide with the site of the tumor.

Radiation Tolerance of NROM Embedded Products

Radiation tolerance of NROM memories is demonstrated at the level of industrial 4 Mbit memory embedded modules, specifically not designed for operation in radiation harsh environments. The memory fabricated in 0.18 um technology remains fully functional after total ionization doses exceeding 100 krad.

In the paper, several approaches to modeling and optimization of radiation tolerant microsystems are discussed. In a contrast to traditional approaches, microsystems are designed and manufactured at multiple length scales. The radiation-tolerant x-ray monitor

A vacuum photoelectric detector (monitor) (VPD) designed for plasma tomography, megnetohydrodynamics monitoring, and imaging with the help of thermal x-ray radiation on the ITER facility is described. Laboratory experiments demonstrate that VPD has high sensitivity to thermal x rays and low sensitivity to hard gamma rays and neutrons.
