Relativistic graphene ratchet on semidisk Galton board
Using extensive Monte Carlo simulations we study numerically and analytically a photogalvanic effect, or ratchet, of directed electron transport induced by a microwave radiation on a semidisk Galton board of antidots in graphene.

A New Algorithm for 2-D Transport for Astrophysical Simulations: I. General Formulation and Tests for the 1-D Spherical Case [PDF]
We derive new equations using the mixed-frame approach for one- and two-dimensional (axisymmetric) time-dependent radiation transport and the associated couplings with matter.

Gravitational Collapse of Null Radiation and a String fluid [PDF]
We consider the end state of collapsing null radiation with a string fluid. It is shown that, if diffusive transport is assumed for the string, that a naked singularity can form (at least locally).

Analysis of stellar spectra with 3D and NLTE models
Models of radiation transport in stellar atmospheres are the hinge of modern astrophysics. Our knowledge of stars, stellar populations, and galaxies is only as good as the theoretical models, which are used for the interpretation of their observed ...

ABSTRACT We present two pediatric cases of pediatric low‐grade gliomas (PLGG) with BRAF V600E mutations diagnosed and monitored using cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) liquid biopsy analyzed via digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), without tissue biopsy. Both patients were treated with dabrafenib and trametinib and monitored through clinical assessments, magnetic ...

ABSTRACT Background B‐acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B‐ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, and while most children in high‐resource settings are cured, therapy carries risks for long‐term toxicities. Understanding parents’ concerns about these late effects is essential to guide anticipatory support and inform evolving therapeutic approaches ...

Radiation transport methods in star formation simulations
Radiation transport plays a crucial role in star formation models, as certain questions within this field cannot be accurately addressed without taking it into account. Given the high complexity of the interstellar medium from which stars form, numerical

Radiation Transport along Curved Ray Paths [PDF]
The transport of radiation in a turbulent, refracting medium is studied. It is shown that the conventional transport equation must be generalized. Path integrals are taken along curved ray trajectories. When these ray paths have torsion, a rotation of the polarization vectors needs to be taken into account. Two derivations of the transport equation are

Parsec-scale accretion and winds irradiated by a quasar
We present numerical simulations of properties of a parsec-scale torus exposed to illumination by the central black hole in an active galaxy (AGN).
