Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

We analyzed alterations of PAR metabolism‐related proteins in PARG inhibitor‐resistant HCT116RPDD cells. Although PARG levels remained unchanged, HCT116RPDD cells exhibited reduced PARP1 and ARH3 expression and elevated PAR levels. Interestingly, HCT116RPDD cells exhibited slightly elevated intracellular NAD+/NADH and ATP levels. Our findings suggest a

“The history of the atomic age is intertwined with that of photography. Uranium’s radioactivity was discovered through a photograph,” says Elin O’Hara Slavick. She is the first American to photograph objects from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum that were exposed to an atomic blast.

Case of a 35‐Year‐Old Man With Pain With Sneezing and Leg Weakness Causing Collapse
ABSTRACT This case details a 35‐year‐old man with no past medical history who presents with acute paraparesis and urinary retention in the setting of progressive paresthesias and weakness of his lower and upper extremities over several months. He was found to have longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis involving the cervical to mid‐thoracic cord ...

DNA-Platinum Thin Films for Use in Chemoradiation Therapy Studies
Dry films of platinum chemotherapeutic drugs covalently bound to plasmid DNA (Pt-DNA) represent a useful experimental model to investigate direct effects of radiation on DNA in close proximity to platinum chemotherapeutic agents, a situation of ...

ABSTRACT Objective Cognitive impairment, fatigue, and depression are common in multiple sclerosis (MS), potentially due to disruption of regional functional connectivity caused by white matter (WM) lesions. We explored whether WM lesions functionally connected to specific brain regions contribute to these MS‐related manifestations.
