Effects of Circulation on Tropical Cloud Feedbacks in High‐Resolution Simulations
Uncertainty in the response of clouds to global warming remains a significant barrier to reducing uncertainty in climate sensitivity. A key question is the extent to which the dynamic component—that which is due to changes in circulation rather than ...

Structure and Evolution of Internally Heated Hot Jupiters
Hot Jupiters receive strong stellar irradiation, producing equilibrium temperatures of $1000 - 2500 \ \mathrm{Kelvin}$. Incoming irradiation directly heats just their thin outer layer, down to pressures of $\sim 0.1 \ \mathrm{bars}$.

Deformation‐Induced Formation of Stray Grains in Additive Manufacturing of Single Crystals
Stray grain formation severely limits the additive manufacturing of single‐crystal alloys. By integrating in situ synchrotron techniques, ex situ characterization, and multi‐scale multi‐physics modeling, the authors reveal that stray grains originate from dislocations at the solid‐liquid interface, rather than thermal supercooling in conventional ...

Bulk Radiative‐Convective Equilibrium Is Common Over Mid‐Latitude Land
Radiative‐convective equilibrium (RCE) is commonly used as an approximation of the time‐ and space‐averaged tropical atmosphere. We examine two reanalyses to assess the extent to which column‐integrated radiative cooling balances convective heating ...

Tides and angular momentum redistribution inside low-mass stars hosting planets: a first dynamical model [PDF]
We introduce a general mathematical framework to model the internal transport of angular momentum in a star hosting a close-in planetary/stellar companion. By assuming that the tidal and rotational distortions are small and that the deposit/extraction of

A green, thermoreversible self‐assembly strategy yields a multifunctional and recyclable supramolecular nanofibrous membrane. Graphene oxide (GO) nanosheet acts as a heterogeneous nucleation‐templating agent, simultaneously modulating the supramolecular crystal packing while tailoring the nanofibrous architecture for elite performance.

MHD and deep mixing in evolved stars. 1. 2D and 3D analytical models for the AGB
The advection of thermonuclear ashes by magnetized domains emerging from near the H-shell was suggested to explain AGB star abundances. Here we verify this idea quantitatively through exact MHD models. Starting with a simple 2D geometry and in an inertia

Embedded Direct‐Written Organic Micro‐TEGs for High‐Efficiency Skin‐Heat Harvesting
A finite‐element–guided design of direct‐written organic micro‐thermoelectric generators is presented for efficient skin‐heat harvesting. Embedding PEDOT:PSS/PBFDO thermoelectric legs within flexible substrates suppresses interfacial heat losses and enhances vertical heat flow.
