Experimental Investigation of Parameters Influencing Test Box and Material Behavior in Daytime Radiative Cooling Measurements

open access: yesHeat Transfer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nowadays, renewable energies are employed to reduce fossil fuel consumption in buildings and industrial applications. Radiative cooling (RC) technology uses the Earth's natural heat radiation to cool surfaces without any electricity supply by emitting thermal radiation to outer space through the transparent atmospheric window.

Effects of immune checkpoint inhibitors on the pulmonary circulation in lung cancer patients

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
What's New? Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are effective against various cancers, but as more patients receive these therapies, more immune‐related adverse events (irAEs) emerge. Recent studies have suggested that ICIs are associated with an increase in pulmonary artery diameter and the ratio between pulmonary artery diameter and aortic diameter ...

Next‐generation photochromic smart window: Wood‐derived cellulose flexible composites integrated thermal insulation, UV‐shielding, and anti‐counterfeiting

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Employing a simple Eu3+‐coordination method, we transform TEMPO‐oxidized wood film into a flexible, smart light‐responsive transparent composite film. This flexible transparent light‐responsive wood‐based composite film exhibits reversible photochromism, UV resistance (>90%), thermal insulation, and high modulation of visible light (∆Tlum = 83%) at ...

Aqueous grinding synthesis of high‐performance alkali/alkaline earth metal‐tuned copper(I) iodide cluster scintillators for underwater x‐ray imaging

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Highly efficient Cu(I)‐iodine cluster halides were synthesized via an aqueous grinding method, which is characterized by simplicity and environmental friendliness. One of the prepared NaCuI scintillator screens was integrated with a thin‐film transistor backplane array. The developed x‐ray flat‐panel detector exhibited outstanding operational stability

Shear Wave Optical Coherence Elastography and Structural Analysis of the Postnatal Mouse Cornea through Development

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
This paper investigates the geometrical and biomechanical properties of neonatal eyes at the early stages of development. We found that the corneal thickness is uncoupled from elastic wave speed and that the content and organization of the cornea primarily influence its mechanical properties.
