Boron Chelates Derived from N-Acylhydrazones as Radical Acceptors: Photocatalyzed Coupling of Hydrazones with Carboxylic Acids.

Organic Letters, 2021
Difluoroboryl complexes obtained from N-acyl hydrazones upon brief treatment with boron trifluoride and allylic silane serve as efficient acceptors of alkyl radicals. The reaction of the boryl chelates with carboxylic acids in the presence of an acridine-

First Example of Free Radical Ring-Opening Polymerization with Some Characteristics of a Living Polymerization

, 1996
The first radical ring-opening polymerization of 2-methylene-1,3-dioxepane in the presence of 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxy radical (TEMPO) has been achieved with di-tert-butyl peroxide as initiator to afford a chain polyester. The observations of

Cyclopolymerization. 25. Five-Membered Ring Formation through Head-to-Head and Tail-to-Tail Additions in Radical and Anionic Polymerizations of α-(Allyloxymethyl)acrylates

, 1999
Radical and anionic polymerizations of methyl and tert-butyl α-(allyloxymethyl)acrylates (AMA and ABA, respectively) were undertaken to see whether five-membered ring formation through head-to-head and tail-to-tail additions can occur irrespective of the

On Radicals of Polynomial Rings

Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 2014
We investigate connections in the behaviour of a ring and the polynomial rings over it with respect to a given radical.

Stereoelectronic Influence of a "Spectator" Propargylic Substituent Can Override Aromaticity Effects in Radical Peri-Cyclizations en Route to Expanded Polyaromatics.

Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2019
Computational analysis quantifies key trends in " peri"-radical cyclizations, a recently developed type of ring-forming reaction for the expansion of polyaromatic systems at the zigzag edge.

*-RINGS AND THEIR RADICALS

Quaestiones Mathematicae, 1985
ABSTRACT This paper is to investigate the class * of all prima rings without proper non-zero prima factors and to characterize the ‘minimal special radical’ containing the class * as well as the ‘maximal special radical’ the semisimple class of which contains the class *. This let us answer certain open questions put in [1] and [4].

Thermochemical properties and bond dissociation enthalpies of 3- to 5-member ring cyclic ether hydroperoxides, alcohols, and peroxy radicals: cyclic ether radical + (3)O(2) reaction thermochemistry.

Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2014
The formation of cyclic ethers is a major product in the oxidation of hydrocarbons, and the oxidation of biomass derived alcohols. Cyclic ethers are formed in the initial reactions of alkyl radicals with dioxygen in combustion and precombustion processes

Radical Approach to Thioester-Containing Polymers.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2019
A new approach to radical ring-opening polymerization is presented that employs a new thionolactone monomer to generate polymers with thioester-containing backbones.

The Centers of a Radical Ring

Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1992
AbstractIt is shown that the nth center of a radical ring coincides with that of its adjoint group, from which a result of Jennings is sharpened and a conjecture of his is confirmed.

RADICALS OF Γ-RINGS

Quaestiones Mathematicae, 1984
(Opgedra aan Prof. Hennie Schutte by geleentheid van sy sestigste verjaarsdag.) Abstract In this note we introduce the concept of a special class of Γ-rings. The upper radical property determined by a special class is then called a special radical. We show that the prime radical, Levitzki nil radical and the nil radical are all special radicals.
