Strategies to access the [5-8] bicyclic core encountered in the sesquiterpene, diterpene and sesterterpene series

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2023
Terpene compounds probably represent the most diversified class of secondary metabolites. Some classes of terpenes, mainly diterpenes (C20) and sesterterpenes (C25) and to a lesser extent sesquiterpenes (C15), share a common bicyclo[3.6.0]undecane core ...

Synthesis and Antioxidant Activity of New Catechol Thioethers with the Methylene Linker

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Novel catechol thio-ethers with different heterocyclic substituents at sulfur atom were prepared by reacting 3,5-di-tert-butyl-6-methoxymethylcatechol with functionalized thiols under acidic conditions. A common feature of compounds is a methylene bridge

Prolonged Corrected QT Interval as an Early Electrocardiographic Marker of Cyclophosphamide‐Induced Cardiotoxicity in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Patients

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...

Enantioselective cyanation via radical-mediated C–C single bond cleavage for synthesis of chiral dinitriles

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
Ring-opening reaction via selective cleavage of C–C bond is a powerful strategy to increase molecular complexity. Here the authors present the facile synthesis of chiral 1,5- and 1,6-dinitriles via the radical-mediated ring-opening and enantioselective ...

Brown-McCoy Radical in Restricted Graded Version

open access: yesJTAM (Jurnal Teori dan Aplikasi Matematika), 2022
Some conjectures related to the radical theory of rings are still open. Hence, the research on the radical theory of rings is still being investigated by some prominent authors.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

On elementarity of radical classes of modules over noncommutative dedekind duo-domains

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2012
We find some sufficient conditions for a radical class of an idempotent radical in the category of modules over a Dedekind left bounded duo-domain to be axiomatisable. In the case of the integer numbers ring this result implies the Gorbachuk-Komarnitskii

Ring-Expansion/Contraction Radical Crossover Reactions of Cyclic Alkoxyamines: A Mechanism for Ring Expansion-Controlled Radical Polymerization [PDF]

open access: yesPolymers, 2018
Macrocyclic polymers present an important class of macromolecules, displaying the reduced radius of gyration or impossibility to entangle. A rare approach for their synthesis is the ring expansion-controlled radical “vinyl” polymerization, starting from a cyclic alkoxyamine.

Improved Outcomes for Older Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With Neuroblastoma in the Post‐Immunotherapy Era: An Updated Report From the International Neuroblastoma Risk Group

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background We describe clinical and biologic characteristics of neuroblastoma in older children, adolescents, and young adults (OCAYA); describe survival outcomes in the post‐immunotherapy era; and identify if there is an age cut‐off that best discriminates outcomes.

Psychological Safety Among Interprofessional Pediatric Oncology Teams in Germany: A Nationwide Survey

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Psychological safety (PS) is essential for teamwork, communication, and patient safety in complex healthcare environments. In pediatric oncology, interprofessional collaboration occurs under high emotional and organizational demands. Low PS may increase stress, burnout, and adverse events.
