Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, and Endodontology, 2002
This report describes 3 cases of ciliated epithelium-lined radicular cysts among 256 apical periodontitis lesions and also illustrates the occurrence of an Actinomyces-infected periapical cyst.Serial and step serial sections of 256 plastic-embedded root apices with attached apical periodontitis lesions that were prepared for a previous investigation ...

CD57+ cells in radicular cyst

International Endodontic Journal, 2000

A biotin‐streptavidin amplified system was used for

Management of Radicular Cyst of Primary Molar

2021
Children's oral cavity can find a variety of inflammatory lesions. Radicular cysts are odontogenic in nature and relatively uncommon in the primary dentition, accounting for just 0.5 to 3.3 % of all radicular cysts in both the primary and permanent dentition.

Large Radicular Cyst in the Maxillary Sinus

Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2011
Radicular cysts (RCs) are the most common inflammatory jaw cystic lesions that occur infected and necrotic in teeth pulps. They account for more than 50% of all odontogenic cysts. Radicular cysts cause slowly progressive painless swelling. There are no symptoms until they become large. Enucleating the cyst is recommended with primary treatment. Here we

Nonsurgical resolution of radicular cysts

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1972
Abstract This study, based upon the histologic examination of 969 radicular cysts, suggests that the vast majority of radicular cysts undergo resolution following conservative endodontic therapy. The mechanism involved in this resolution may be the dissolution of epithelial lining due to the inflammatory exudate.

Pseudoameloblastomatous Changes in the Wall of a Radicular Cyst

American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1974
A periapical soft-tissue lesion from a maxillary bicuspid root tip was studied histologically. The initial impression was plexiform ameloblastoma. Subsequent review of the radiographic appearance of the lesion and tissue sections from deeper within the paraffin block revealed a cystic structure.

Age changes in residual radicular cysts

Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine, 1986
Histological and radiographic study of 33 uninfected residual radicular cysts has shown that there is a slow increase in mineralised deposits within the cyst lumen with time. This becomes prominent histochemically in those cysts more than 8 years old and radiographically 6 years later.
