Past rates of accumulation in central West Antarctica [PDF]
The spatial variation in ice accumulation is critical to the form and stability of ice sheets. In West Antarctica, knowledge of present ice accumulation rates is restricted to sparse measurements and interpolations across data free regions, while ...

Polymorph engineering in ErMnO3 enables low‐voltage, forming‐free threshold switching with tunable negative differential resistance. Conducting orthorhombic regions embedded in an insulating hexagonal matrix provide controlled Joule‐heating‐enhanced Poole–Frenkel transport. The hexagonal phase prevents excessive heating and breakdown.

Resolving radiostratigraphy with squinted synthetic aperture radar focusing
Englacial layers are a product of historic accumulation and are reshaped by ice deformation. Hence, radio-echo sounding (RES), which can resolve englacial layering, has been adopted as an observational tool to infer ice age and ice dynamics from ice ...

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Layer disturbances and the radio-echo free zone in ice sheets [PDF]
Radio-echo sounding of the Antarctic and Greenlandic ice sheets often reveals a layer in the lowest hundreds of meters above bedrock more or less free of radio echoes, known as the echo-free zone (EFZ).

Topographic and geologic controls on the Northeast Greenland Ice Stream
The Northeast Greenland Ice Stream (NEGIS) is an elongated feature extending ∼600 km into the interior of the Greenland Ice Sheet. Here, we investigate detailed subglacial topography along the length of the NEGIS to ascertain the characteristics of the ...
