Radio Continuum and CO emission in spiral galaxies

2023
We have studied the relationship between the Radio Continuum (RC) and CO emission for a set of galaxies selected from the BIMA SONG sample. By combining new 20 cm VLA B-array observations with BIMA maps it has been possible to investigate the behaviour of the RC/CO correlation at matched resolution down to an angular size of about 6''.

Origin of the Continuum in High Redshift Radio Galaxies

1999
Deep Keck spectropolarimetry has been obtained of 9 high redshift radio galaxies (HzRGs) with z~2.5. All objects exhibit a remarkably similar continuum shape with a flattening around 1400A and a dip around 2200A (other results are in Fosbury et al. 1999). This can be explained by a simple ’scattering sphere’ model in which standard Galactic dust grains
