Radio continuum observations of four edge-on spiral galaxies [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 1985
On presente des cartes de NGC 55, 4945 et 7090 faites a 843 MHz avec le radiotelescope de Molonglo et on complete une analyse de l'emission a 843 MHz de NGC ...

Cerebrovascular pulsatility following long duration spaceflight is associated with changes in pulse pressure and carotid artery stiffness

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Central artery stiffening increases the haemodynamic pulsations transmitted downstream towards target organs, including the brain. While recent evidence suggests that long duration spaceflight is associated with reduced common carotid artery (CCA) distensibility, cerebrovascular pulsatility has not been extensively characterized in astronauts.

Radio and Submillimeter Continuum Observations of High-Redshift Galaxies [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Astronomical Union, 2012
AbstractObserving galaxies in the radio and submillimeter continuum has the advantage of being unaffected by dust extinction, which is a major drawback of studying galaxy evolution using optical data. Submillimeter single-dish surveys have made tremendous progress in understanding the high-redshift dusty population, but the low angular resolution of ...

Thermal radio emission : The brightness temperature and the spectral index of radio emission [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
The condition of radio emission is proposed, on the base of which the theory of themal radio emission for gaseous disk is developed. This theory explains the radio emission spectra of known types of extended radio sources, located beyond the Solar planetary system. Besides, the thermal radio emission spectra of Venus and Jupiter are explained.

Cosmogenic Production, Sea Level and Tephra Signals in 10Be From Black Sea Sediments During Termination 2

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 11, 16 June 2025.
Abstract We aim to isolate predominantly solar modulated (multi‐decadal to centennial) production changes in a 10Be record from Black Sea sediments covering Termination 2. In addition to the effects of varying climate and sedimentation, sea level rise and tephra‐driven Be relocation introduced non‐production biases into our 10Be (and 9Be) records ...

Optical and radio properties of giant radio quasars: Central black hole characteristics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We analysed the optical and radio properties of lobe-dominated giant-sized (> 0.72 Mpc) radio quasars and compared the results with those derived for a sample of smaller radio sources to determine whether the large size of some extragalactic radio sources is related to the properties of their nuclei.

Radio continuum polarimetric imaging of high redshift radio galaxies

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal, 1994
Multifrequency images of total and polarized radio continuum emission from the two high redshift radio galaxies 0902+343 (z = 3.40) and 0647+415 (4C 41.17, z = 3.80) are presented. These images represent the most sensitive polarimetric study of high redshift ratio galaxies to date.

The microbiologist's guide to metaproteomics

open access: yesiMeta, Volume 4, Issue 3, June 2025.
Metaproteomics within the multi‐omics framework provides a comprehensive view of microbial systems by identifying proteins, quantifying their levels, detecting posttranslational modifications (PTMs), mapping protein–protein interactions (PPIs), and localizing proteins.

Radio Plasma as a Cosmological Probe [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
Plasma containing relativistic particles appears in various forms in the inter galactic medium (IGM): As radio plasma released by active radio galaxies, as fossil radio plasma from former radio galaxies - so called `radio ghosts', as `cluster radio relics' in some clusters of galaxies, and as `cluster radio halos'.

Feasibility of Stepwise Technology‐Based Audiometry With Rapid Results (STARR) Protocol in Minnesota Elementary Schools

open access: yesOtolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, Volume 172, Issue 6, Page 1919-1926, June 2025.
Abstract Objective This study aims to understand the utility of a stepwise technology‐based audiometry with rapid results (STARR) school screening protocol. Study Design A prospective cohort study. Setting Six elementary schools in a single school district in Minnesota.
