Radio continuum emission from a tidal dwarf galaxy [PDF]
Tidal dwarf galaxies (TDGs) form in the debris of galaxy mergers, making them ideal testbeds for investigating star formation in an extreme environment. We present radio continuum EVLA observations spanning 1-2 GHz of the interacting system Arp 94, which contains the TDG J1023+1952. We detect extended radio continuum emission from the disc of the TDG's

What Powers the Compact Radio Emission in Nearby Elliptical and S0 Galaxies? [PDF]
Many nearby early-type (elliptical and S0) galaxies contain weak (milli-Jansky level) nuclear radio sources on scales a few hundred parsecs or less. The origin of the radio emission, however, has remained unclear, especially in volume-limited samples that select intrinsically less luminous galaxies.

UV and optical emission lines from the z=2.6 radio galaxy 0828+193: spatially resolved measurements [PDF]
We present an investigation into the spatial variation of the rest-frame UV and optical line and continuum emission along the radio axis of the z=2.6 radio galaxy 0828+193, using long-slit spectra from the Keck II and Subaru telescopes. Line brightnesses, line ratios and electron temperatures are examined, and their relationship with the arm-length ...

The problem of missing Galactic supernova remnants (SNRs) refers to the issue that the currently known Galactic SNRs are significantly incomplete compared to the theoretical prediction.

HST imaging of two z>4 radio galaxies [PDF]
We have imaged 8C 1435+635 (z=4.25; Lacy et al. 1994; Spinrad, Dey & Graham 1995) and 6C 0140+326 (z=4.41; Rawlings et al. 1996) in both continuum and Lyalpha plus continuum bands with the HST. Our images show patchy distributions of continuum and line emission with a tendency for the peaks in the two types of emission to be offset.

SN 1885A and Supernova Remnants in the Centre of M31 with LOFAR
We present the first LOFAR image of the center of M31 at a frequency of 150 MHz. We clearly detect three supernova remnants, which, along with archival VLA data at 3 GHz and other published radio and X-ray data, allows us to characterize them in detail ...

Radio Afterglows from Tidal Disruption Events: An Unbiased Sample from ASKAP RACS
Late-time (∼a year) radio follow-up of optically discovered tidal disruption events (TDEs) is increasingly resulting in detections at radio wavelengths, and there is growing evidence for this late-time radio activity to be common to the broad class of ...

Kiloparsec-scale Alignment of a Radio Jet with Cool Gas and Dust in a z ∼ 6 Quasar
We present high-angular-resolution (0 $\mathop{.}\limits^{\unicode{x02033}}$ 068, ∼400 pc) Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) imaging of the [C ii ] line and dust continuum emission of PSO J352.4034–15.3373, a radio-loud quasar at z = 5 ...

Arecibo 305 m Telescope observations between 2008 and 2018 detected a radio continuum and spectral-line outburst in the nearby galaxy, NGC 660. Excited-OH maser emission/absorption lines near 4.7 GHz, and H _2 CO absorption at 4.83 GHz varied on ...

Windy or Not: Radio Parsec-scale Evidence for a Broad-line Region Wind in Radio-quiet Quasars
Does a broad-line region (BLR) wind in radio-quiet (RQ) active galactic nuclei (AGN) extend to parsec scales and produce radio emission? We explore the correlations between a parsec-scale radio wind and the BLR wind in a sample of 19 RQ Palomar–Green ...
