Directional Second Sphere Effect on CO2 Activation and Reduction by Iron Porphyrin in Aprotic and Protic Media

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Directional control within the secondary coordination sphere redefines CO2 reduction by iron porphyrins. Simply rearranging identical urea hydrogen‐bond donors modulates reactivity, revealing that optimal catalysis does not only arise from maximal intermediate stabilization, but also from directional, adaptive non‐covalent interactions that balance ...

Reconfigurable Design and Optimization‐Based Control of an Integrated Leg‐Arm Robot for Space Applications With an Underactuated Body

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A quadrupedal integrated leg‐arm robot with an underactuated reconfigurable body is developed. By using a Sarrus mechanism as the body, the robot enables reconfiguration through its supporting limbs, achieving mode switching without additional actuators.

New Water Oxidation Mechanism in Photosystem II Resolves Major Experimental Controversies

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In Photosystem II Oxygen Evolving Complex, we discovered the O3‐O6 peroxide at lower energy. Assignment of the O3 ligated by histidine (His337) as a slow exchanging substrate and its coupling with O6 give the O─O bond formation mechanism most consistent with all currently available experimental data. Proposal shows how protein environment can steer the

PUS7 Deficiency: Phenotypical Expansion of PUS7‐Related Neurodevelopmental Disorders

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pathogenic variants in PUS7, encoding pseudouridine synthase 7, cause a rare neurodevelopmental disorder marked by intellectual disability, microcephaly, short stature, and behavioral disturbances. Since the first report in 2018, only 16 patients have been described.

Enhancing Enzyme Activity With Mutation Combinations Guided by Few‐Shot Learning and Causal Inference

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We present an integrated workflow that predicts activity‐enhancing mutation combinations from minimal experimental data. By proposing in vivo unit yield (yield/expression) as a surrogate for kcat/Km through causal inference, and visualizing local activity landscape, it effectively guides product yield improvement. ABSTRACT Designing enzyme sequences to

SnRNA‐seq reveals cellular heterogeneity and proliferation mechanisms in limb venous malformations

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
To dissect the cellular heterogeneity and invasive mechanisms of limb venous malformations (VMs), this study first obtained tissue samples from four patients with VMs and four normal controls (NC). Single‐nucleus suspension was prepared, followed by transcriptome library construction and sequencing. After pretreatment, quality control, standardization,

An Enzymatic Platform for Late‐Stage (Radio)isotope Labelling of Oligonucleotides With Methyltransferases

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
State‐of‐the‐art synthesis of radiolabelled oligonucleotides involves multi‐step synthesis with high costs, extended timelines and significant radioactive waste generation. Herein, a dual‐methyltransferase platform enables late‐stage, site‐specific labelling, overcoming these limitations through reduced costs, faster turnaround and minimal radioactive ...
