FRACTURES OF THE RADIAL HEAD WITH DISTAL RADIO-ULNAR DISLOCATION
The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. British volume, 1951The two cases of comminuted fracture of the radial head presented in this paper stress the importance of evaluating the distal radio-ulnar joint for dislocation when the mechanism of injury is a longitudinal compression force. Two treatment approaches are recommended for this particular type of injury. The first is reconstruction of the radial head. If

Radio-Lunate Arthrodesis for Distal Radial Intraarticular Malunion
Journal of Hand Surgery, 1996Eleven cases of symptomatic distal radial intraarticular malunion were treated by radio-lunate arthrodesis from 1983 to 1991. The mean age was 35.3 years. There were 11 men, all manual workers. The mechanism was usually a high velocity injury. The time elapsed since injury was a mean 23 months (2–109 months).

[Instability of the distal radio-ulnar joint].
Handchirurgie, Mikrochirurgie, plastische Chirurgie : Organ der Deutschsprachigen Arbeitsgemeinschaft fur Handchirurgie : Organ der Deutschsprachigen Arbeitsgemeinschaft fur Mikrochirurgie der Peripheren Nerven und Gefasse : Organ der V..., 1999Instability of the distal radioulnar joint is caused either by bone deformity, fracture or by ligament deficiency. The logical treatment will consist either in osteotomy, osteosynthesis, or in reconstruction of the ligamentous support. The refixation of the TFCC or the ulnar styloid has been demonstrated to be effective in correcting instability ...
