Radio-frequency (rf) forces and wave helicity transport

Physics of Fluids B: Plasma Physics, 1993
A kinetic theory is developed which unifies the concept of radio-frequency (rf) current drive and wave helicity injection. It is shown that wave helicity injection and transport can be incorporated into the more general concept of rf forces. Moreover, the part related to wave helicity has the same form as a mean field dynamo.

RF-MSiP: Radio Frequency Multi-source Indoor Positioning

2019 IEEE International Conference on Big Data (Big Data), 2019
Computation of accurate indoor positioning information is important in several areas like mobile robotics, large scale sensor networks, smart city, virtual reality and applications involving internet-of-things (IoT). In spite of its growing importance due to the advent of large scale autonomous deployments of sensor networks and IoTs, we still do not ...

Hybrid solar and radio frequency (RF) energy harvesting

2017 IEEE International Conference on Power, Control, Signals and Instrumentation Engineering (ICPCSI), 2017
This paper presents the design of hybrid energy harvesting circuit. The hybrid energy harvesting combines solar cell used to convert sun rays into electricity and antenna capable to harvest ambient electromagnetic energy. Direct current (DC) combining circuit is necessary to combine the outputs of the solar cell and the electromagnetic harvesters. MPPT

A radio frequency (RF) barrier effectiveness assessment study

IEEE 1988 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2003
A radio-frequency (RF) barrier provides a means of reducing antenna-to-antenna coupling between an electromagnetic-interference (EMI) source and victim. Unfortunately, there is very limited quantitative knowledge available on the isolation capabilities of RF barriers.

Characterization of thrombus stiffening in radio frequency (rf Mechanical thrombectomy

2016 38th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC), 2016
Intra-arterial mechanical thrombectomy (IAMT) for ischemic stroke has high recanalization rate, long treatment time window and low risk of symptomatic intracerebral haemorrhage (sICH), but thrombus fragments produced during treatment can lead to distal embolization. Fragmentation can be reduced if the thrombus is strengthened by increasing the thrombus'

Radio Frequency (RF) Propagation Along Single Cylindrical Conductors

2010
Abstract : This report examines the transmission of 10 GHZ radio frequency (RP) waves among single cylindrical conductors. Intent is to determine attenuation as a function of distance and conductivity in order to enhance understanding of phenomena related to attachment and transmission of RF to a laser generated plasma filament(s). Attenuation is shown
