Radio and optical orientations of galaxies [PDF]
We investigate the correlations between optical and radio isophotal position angles for 14302 SDSS galaxies with $r$ magnitudes brighter than 18 and which have been associated with extended FIRST radio sources. We identify two separate populations of galaxies using the colour, concentration and their principal components.

Radio Galaxies at TeV Energies: Preface
The majority of the known extragalactic sky from TeV gamma-ray energies consists of blazars having plasma jets pointing in the direction of the line-of-sight, which results in a large Doppler boosting of their emission.

Evolution of the Most Massive Galaxies to z ~ 0.6: II. The link between radio AGN activity and star formation [PDF]
We analyze the optical spectra of massive (log M*/Msun > 11.4) radio-loud galaxies at z~0.2 and z~0.6. By comparing stellar population parameters of these radio-loud samples with radio-quiet control samples, we investigate how the presence of a radio ...

Extremely Red Radio Galaxies [PDF]
At least half the radio galaxies at z>1 in the 7C Redshift Survey have extremely red colours (R-K>5), consistent with stellar populations which formed at high redshift (z>5). We discuss the implications of this for the evolution of massive galaxies in general and for the fraction of near-IR-selected EROs which host AGN, a result which is now ...

Relativistic jets in narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies. New discoveries and open questions
Before the launch of the Fermi satellite only two classes of AGNs were known to produce relativistic jets and thus emit up to the γ-ray energy range: blazars and radio galaxies, both hosted in giant elliptical galaxies.

Large-Scale Environment Properties of Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 Galaxies at z < 0.4
The large-scale environment is believed to affect the evolution and intrinsic properties of galaxies. It offers a new perspective on narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies (NLS1) which have not been extensively studied in this context before.

The environment of radio galaxies: A signature of AGN feedback at high redshifts [PDF]
We use the semi-analytical model of galaxy formation GALFORM to characterise an indirect signature of AGN feedback in the environment of radio galaxies at high redshifts. The predicted environment of radio galaxies is denser than that of radio-quiet galaxies with the same stellar mass. This is consistent with observational results from the CARLA survey.

B_gg revisited: The environments of low-excitation radio galaxies and unified models [PDF]
Recent measurements of the galaxy clustering environments around intermediate-redshift radio sources have suggested a systematic environmental difference between radio galaxies and radio-loud quasars, in contradiction to the predictions of simple unified models for the two classes of object. I show that the apparent difference arises mainly as a result

A closer view of the radio-FIR correlation: disentangling the contributions of star formation and AGN activity [PDF]
We extend the Unified Radio Catalog, a catalog of sources detected by various (NVSS, FIRST, WENSS, GB6) radio surveys, and SDSS, to IR wavelengths by matching it to the IRAS Point and Faint Source catalogs.
