Roll‐To‐Roll Production of Smart Dressings for Wound Monitoring
This study presents a roll‐to‐roll manufactured smart wound dressing capable of visually monitoring key wound biomarkers, including pH, humidity, and temperature. By integrating colorimetric sensors into flexible dressing substrates, the device offers real‐time, equipment‐free insights for infection detection and wound management, representing a ...

Powerful Radio-loud Quasars Are Triggered by Galaxy Mergers in the Cosmic Bright Ages
While supermassive black holes are ubiquitous features of galactic nuclei, only a small minority are observed during episodes of luminous accretion. The physical mechanism(s) driving the onset of fueling and ignition in these active galactic nuclei (AGN)

AGN Feedback Signatures in UV Emission
Supermassive black holes (SMBH) are believed to influence galaxy evolution through AGN (active galactic nuclei) feedback. Galaxy mergers are key processes of galaxy formation that lead to AGN activity and star formation.

The Radio Luminosity Function of Cluster Radio Halos [PDF]
A significant fraction of galaxy clusters exhibits cluster wide radio halos. We give a simple prediction of the local and higher redshift radio halo luminosity function (RHLF) on the basis of (i) an observed and a theoretical X-ray cluster luminosity ...

HI absorption in Radio Galaxies [PDF]
Twenty-two powerful radio galaxies have been searched for HI absorption. We find the highest probability of detecting HI in absorption among narrow-line compact (or small) galaxies or galaxies with indication of richer interstellar medium (i.e. with ongoing or recent star-formation).

Playing Hard with Si: Challenges and Opportunities for New Materials in Radiation Therapy Dosimetry
Silicon has been a cornerstone material of radiation therapy dosimetry for many decades, providing somewhat unchallenged performance. However, there are caveats to its use, requiring complex designs and, often, correction factors to provide accurate measurements.

The Multiwavelength Environment of Second Bologna Catalog Sources
We present the first results of the Chandra Cool Targets (CCT) survey of the Second Bologna Catalog (B2CAT) of powerful radio sources, aimed at investigating the extended X-ray emission surrounding these sources.

Highest redshift radio galaxies [PDF]
At low redshifts powerful radio sources are uniquely associated with massive galaxies, and are thought to be powered by supermassive black holes. Modern 8m -- 10m telescopes may be used used to find their likely progenitors at very high redshifts to study their formation and evolution.
