Electronic, Radio, and Microwave Physics
Physics Bulletin, 1961By D. E. Clark and H. J. Mead London: Heywood and Co. Ltd. Pp. viii + 521. Price 130s. On first approaching this book one is at a loss to know what it is about and for whom it is written. The title does not convey any very precise information.

Symposium - International Astronomical Union, 1967
A distinction is necessary between two concepts: the physical halo, forming a transition between the gas in the galactic disk and that in intergalactic space, and the radio halo, a spherical component (withR~ 15 kpc) in the distribution of non-thermal radio emission.

Physical Principles of Radio Communication
2009Electrodynamics is an established science. Ever since James Clerk Maxwell spelled out its fundamental equations in 1865, its tenets have been verified and reverified by measurements, its formalism developed and made more elegant. It is also a science with wide application, since, except for the force of gravity, the vast majority of phenomena with ...

Radio-frequency wave physics in the FTU
2004This chapter reports the main physics results obtained with three radio-frequency-injection systems. The frequency of 8 GHz for the lower hybrid (LH) current drive (CD) (LHCD) system was chosen to explore CD at high density: full CD has been demonstrated for central densities up to 1.4 x 10(20) m(-3) at 0.5 MA with an applied power up to 2.0 MW.
