Physical Conditions in CSS Radio Sources [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 2002
Interplanetary scintillation observations of 56 compact steep-spectrum radio sources have been carried out at 102 MHz on the Large Phased Array. Observations have shown that 42 sources have low frequency cut-offs in their spectra. The physical conditions in the compact components of the quasars and radio galaxies studied are estimated.

Design of an FPGA-Based Composite Digital Filter for Eliminating ECG Noises

open access: yesIET Circuits, Devices and Systems
The Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a graphical representation of the electrical activity of the heart that is captured through a non-invasive process and is used to monitor the state of the heart.

Genetic dissection of human ABCE1 in yeast reveals separable requirements for ribosome recycling and suppression of aberrant reinitiation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human ABCE1 cannot functionally replace its yeast ortholog. Yeast–human chimera analysis identified NBD1 as a major interspecies barrier. Genetic screening yielded hABCE1 revertants that rescue yeast viability but fail to suppress aberrant translation reinitiation in the 3′ UTR.

Multiwavelength Evidence of the Physical Processes in Radio Jets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Over the last few years, high-quality X-ray imaging and spectroscopic data from Chandra and XMM-Newton have added greatly to the understanding of the physics of radio jets. Here we describe the current state of knowledge with an emphasis on the underlying physics used to interpret multiwavelength data in terms of physical parameters.

The new direction in radio physics: fractal-scaling and scale-invariant radiolocation

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы, 2015
The new kind and approach of up-to-date radiolocation: fractal-scaling or scale-invariant radiolocation has been proposed. It leads to basic changes in the theoretical radiolocation structure itself and also in its mathematical apparatus.

Characterization of the key membrane protein cytochrome Cyc2 from Ghiorsea bivora

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study reports the first detailed biochemical analysis of Cyc2TAG1_1, a cytochrome protein involved in microbial iron oxidation. We produced and purified this enzyme in E. coli, then measured its iron‐oxidizing efficiency, and characterized its electrical and structural properties.

Hydrogel platforms for 3D cardiac tissue engineering and fibrotic disease modelling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based cardiac tissue models are advancing our understanding of heart health and disease. By incorporating electrical conductivity, aligned structures, and tunable mechanical properties, these platforms better replicate the complex environment of native heart tissue.

Chronobiology of Cancer: How Aging Fuels Oncogenesis at the Molecular Level

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract illustrates the key biological pathways linking aging with cancer development and progression. In the upper left, cumulative exposure to ultraviolet radiation, toxins, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) causes DNA damage and genomic instability, whereas age‐related decline in repair mechanisms, such as ATM/ATR, BER, and NER ...
