Winds as the origin of radio emission in z = 2.5 radio-quiet extremely red quasars
Most active galactic nuclei (AGNs) are radio quiet, and the origin of their radio emission is not well understood. One hypothesis is that this radio emission is a byproduct of quasar driven winds.

Radio-loud and radio-quiet quasars observed by EXOSAT [PDF]
We present results from the spectral analysis of EXOSAT data on 31 quasars, 18 radio-loud and 13 radio-quiet. Simple power-law models with fixed (Galactic) absorption give acceptable fits to the spectra obtained in the 2-10 keV band. Using the results from these fits we have compared the distributions of spectral indices α for the radio-loud and radio ...

Polarimetric and spectroscopic study of radio-quiet weak emission line quasars
International audienceA small subset of optically selected radio-quiet quasars showing weak or no emission lines may turn out to be the elusive radio-quiet BL Lac objects, or simply be radio-quiet QSOs with a still-forming/shielded broad line region (BLR)

Outflow-related radio emission in radio-quiet quasars
ABSTRACT In this work, we revisit the relationship between [O iii] line width w90 (as the indicator of active galactic nucleus outflow velocity) and the radio emission in radio-quiet quasars (RQQs) by employing a large sample of Type I quasars (∼37 000) selected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release 16. By median stacking
