Patterning the Void: Combining L‐Systems with Archimedean Tessellations as a Perspective for Tissue Engineering Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations

Modulating Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Pathways via Interfacial Electric Field

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering interfacial electric fields in Cu/ITO electrodes enables precise control of CO2 reduction pathways. Charge transfer from Cu to ITO generates positively charged Cu species that steer selectivity from ethylene toward methane. This work demonstrates how interfacial electric‐field modulation can direct reaction intermediates and transform ...

Remote temperature profiling in the troposphere and stratosphere by the radio-acoustic sounding technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
Radar application of the radio-acoustic sounding technique uses the Doppler frequency shift of radar echoes returning from the atmospheric wave structure, in association with a traveling acoustic pulse transmitted from the ground, to determine the speed ...

Methods for spatial direction finding of geoacoustic signals at Mikizha Lake in Kamchatka

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2018
In the framework of the work, a spatial analysis of geoacoustic emissions properties recorded by a hydroacoustic receiver in a shallow Mikizha Lake, Kamchatkskiy kray, is carried out. The features of geoacoustic pulse registration are considered, methods

Clean‐Limit 2D Superconductivity in a Thick Exfoliated Kagome Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports clean‐limit 2D superconductivity in a thick kagome system, analogous to the 3D case. It observes a drop in superfluid stiffness near the superconducting transition and a cusp‐like feature in the angular dependence of the upper critical field.

A New Perspective of the Radio Bright Zone at The Galactic Center: Feedback from Nuclear Activities

open access: yes, 2015
New observations of Sgr A have been carried out with the VLA using the broadband (2 GHz) continuum mode at 5.5 GHz, covering the central 30 pc region of the RBZ at the Galactic center.

Joint analysis of low-frequency geoacoustic and deformation signals

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2018
Simultaneous monitoring of signals recorded by a three-component piezoceramic seismic receiver and by a laser strainmeter-interferometer have been carried out in Kamchatka since 2016.
