Calculation of seismic regime parameters on the basis of a probabilistic model of Kamchatka earthquake catalogue

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2016
In the present paper on the basis of a probabilistic interpretation of the earthquake repetition law, simple formulas were obtained which allow us from the known number of earthquake events in a representative interval of energy class (magnitude) to ...

Variational Symplectic Particle-in-cell Simulation of Nonlinear Mode Conversion from Extraordinary waves to Bernstein Waves [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
In this paper, the nonlinear mode conversion of extraordinary waves in nonuniform magnetized plasmas is studied using the variational symplectic particle-in-cell simulation. The accuracy of the nonlinear simulation is guaranteed by the long-term accuracy and conservativeness of the symplectic algorithm.

Analysis of the efficiency of earthquake prediction based on the anomalous behavior of ionospheric parameters on the eve of earthquakes in the Kamchatka region

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2018
A method is presented for short-term prediction of strong earthquakes, in which the precursors are considered the excess of current values of foF2 critical frequency of the ionospheric F2 layer over the median values in periods of perturbed state of the ...

Radio Wave 'Messengers' of Periodic Gravitational Radiation and the Problem of Gravitationally Induced Nonlinearity in Electrodynamic Systems [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Dokl. 41 (1996) 331-333; Dokl.Akad.Nauk Ser.Fiz. 349 (1996) 326-328, 2005
We discuss a gravitationally induced nonlinearity in hierarchic systems. We consider the generation of extremely low-frequency radio waves with a frequency of the periodic gravitational radiation; the generation is due to an induced nonlinear self-action of electromagnetic radiation in the vicinity of the gravitational-radiation source.

Methods for spatial direction finding of geoacoustic signals at Mikizha Lake in Kamchatka

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2018
In the framework of the work, a spatial analysis of geoacoustic emissions properties recorded by a hydroacoustic receiver in a shallow Mikizha Lake, Kamchatkskiy kray, is carried out. The features of geoacoustic pulse registration are considered, methods

Shock Waves of the Large-Scale Structure Formation in the Universe [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1998
Simulations of structure formation in the Universe predict accretion shock waves at the boundaries of the large-scale structures as sheets, filaments, and clusters of galaxies. If magnetic fields are present at these shocks, particle acceleration should take place, and could contribute to the observed cosmic rays of high energies. When the radio plasma
