Methods for spatial direction finding of geoacoustic signals at Mikizha Lake in Kamchatka

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2018
In the framework of the work, a spatial analysis of geoacoustic emissions properties recorded by a hydroacoustic receiver in a shallow Mikizha Lake, Kamchatkskiy kray, is carried out. The features of geoacoustic pulse registration are considered, methods

Solution‐Processed Thin‐Film Transistors With Tunable Temporal Dynamics for Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed CNT and CNT/P3HT ion‐gated transistors exhibit materials‐defined synaptic timescales: fast CNT devices for high‐frequency spiking and slow hybrid devices for temporal integration. Embedding these dynamics into coupled reservoir‐computing and spiking neural network simulations reveals that a Hybrid‐Reservoir / CNT‐SNN architecture ...

Skew Incidence on Concave Wedge With Anisotropic Surface Impedance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The diffraction of a plane wave at skew incidence by an arbitrary-angled concave wedge with anisotropic impedance faces is studied. Concave wedges are of interest in wireless propagation models, in particular on modeling buildings and reflectors.

Dye‐Initiated Chirped Cholesteric Polymer Networks Exhibiting Broadband Dissipative Chiral Photonic Bands

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dye‐based photoinitiator acting as a structure‐directing element, guides the formation of a cholesteric polymer network that behaves as a chirped photonic structure with dissipative chiral coupling. Photopolymerization freezes a depth‐dependent helical pitch, broadening the Bragg resonance spectrum.

Radio Wave Propagation Scene Partitioning for High-Speed Rails [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Radio wave propagation scene partitioning is necessary for wireless channel modeling. As far as we know, there are no standards of scene partitioning for high-speed rail (HSR) scenarios, and therefore we propose the radio wave propagation scene ...

Radio wave propagation simulation on the Cray T3D

open access: yes, 1998
The ParFlow method permits the simulation of outdoor wave propagation in urban environment, describing the physical system in terms of the motion of fictitious particles over a lattice. This paper begins with a brief introduction to the ParFlow method.
