Validating the 2022 WHO classification in thyroid carcinomas: Prospective evidence for predicting iodine resistance

This study assessed the 2022 WHO classification for predicting RAIR disease in thyroid carcinomas, comparing it to older classifications. In a retrospective study of 253 cases, we found the 2022 classification more effective, especially by identifying high‐grade carcinomas and tumour necrosis as critical predictive factors.

The influence of a cooling water system on waterbird habitat use in a coastal environment

This study investigated the impact of a cooling water system at a nuclear power plant in northern Europe on coastal waterbird habitat use. In winter, the cooling water system provided preferential areas for waterbirds with warm productive waters, and, more importantly, with ice‐free areas.

Association between thyroid dysfunction and cognitive impairment in type 2 diabetes mellitus: A cross‐sectional study

Hypothyroidism is an independent risk factor for cognitive impairment in T2DM patients, with a progressive risk increase associated with higher TSH levels. These findings underscore the importance of integrating thyroid function evaluation into the cognitive assessment and management strategy for this patient population.
