Atmospheric Electricity Data From Lerwick During 1964 to 1984

open access: yesGeoscience Data Journal, Volume 12, Issue 3, July 2025.
A dataset of the hourly‐averaged Potential Gradient (PG) for each month from January 1964 to July 1984 is available for Lerwick observatory. The averaged diurnal variation is similar to that of the global atmospheric electric circuit—the Carnegie curve—and further global relationships with the El Niño‐Southern Oscillation are also apparent.

Attitudes Toward ESG Reporting in a Crisis Economy: Insights From Interviews With Ukrainian Agricultural Enterprises

open access: yesBusiness Strategy &Development, Volume 8, Issue 2, June 2025.
ABSTRACT This article explores how ESG reporting practices evolve in high‐risk, low‐institutional contexts by examining Ukrainian agricultural enterprises operating under conditions of war, economic instability, and EU integration pressures. Drawing on semi‐structured interviews, we show that, unlike highly institutionalized ESG models in the Global ...

Accelerated Increase in the Decay of Radioactive 125I by X Ray Irradiation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
Expanded concepts of photonuclear reaction in Mossbauer type behavior were applied to radioactive nuclei. An enhanced reduction in radioactivity of 125I was achieved by X-Ray irradiation using the Brookhaven synchrotron.

Developments in Permafrost Science and Engineering in Response to Climate Warming in Circumpolar and High Mountain Regions, 2019–2024

open access: yesPermafrost and Periglacial Processes, Volume 36, Issue 2, Page 167-188, April/June 2025.
ABSTRACT Research in geocryology is currently principally concerned with the effects of climate change on permafrost terrain. The motivations for most of the research are (1) quantification of the anticipated net emissions of CO2 and CH4 from warming and thaw of near‐surface permafrost and (2) mitigation of effects on infrastructure of such warming and

Research on the treatment process of non-radioactive production wastewater in nuclear power plant

open access: yesGongye shui chuli
The sources and components of non-radioactive production wastewater from nuclear power plant is relatively complex. The existing wastewater from nuclear power plant is discharged into the circulating cooling water drainage system and then into the sea ...

Pb-Radioactivity in superheavy elements [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
The Pb-radioactivity in the superheavy mass region is studied within the frame work of PCM model, the calculation of Pb-Radioactivity looks favorably for the cluster decay studies in superheavy mass region as in the heavy mass region.

Validation of a small‐scale portable rainfall simulator on the simultaneous transport of sediments and pesticides in agriculture soils

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 6, Page 3250-3262, June 2025.
This study used a small‐scale portable rainfall simulator to investigate runoff rates, sediment yield, and pesticide transport under laboratory and field conditions. The findings provide insights into the environmental risks of widely used pesticides and the mechanisms driving their transport, aiding in developing effective mitigation strategies ...

Abrupt Ecological Shift and Recovery Trajectory of a Peri‐Urban Lake in the Anthropocene: Insights From Paleoecology and Modeling Projection

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 61, Issue 6, June 2025.
Abstract Urban and peri‐urban lakes are undergoing significant ecological deterioration in the fast‐changing Anthropocene, leading to toxic algal proliferation jeopardizing ecosystem services and public health. Nevertheless, the ecological response of these lakes to anthropogenic disturbances, management interventions, and climate change remains ...
