Catheter Ablation for the Management of Atrial Fibrillation: An Update of the Literature
Catheter ablation has been shown to be more effective at maintaining sinus rhythm and improving quality of life when compared to antiarrhythmic drugs. Radiofrequency and cryoablation are two effective methods.

Advanced ablation strategies for management of post-surgical atrial arrhythmias. [PDF]
Post-surgical arrhythmias include a wide range of arrhythmias occurring late after cardiac surgery and represent a complex substrate for catheter ablation either because of extended scar and remodeling or because of limited access to the area of interest.

Roughly Collected Dataset for Contact Force Sensing Catheter [PDF]
With rise of interventional cardiology, Catheter Ablation Therapy (CAT) has established itself as a first-line solution to treat cardiac arrhythmia. Although CAT is a promising technique, cardiologist lacks vision inside the body during the procedure, which may cause serious clinical syndromes.

Localizing the Origin of Idiopathic Ventricular Arrhythmia from ECG Using an Attention-Based Recurrent Convolutional Neural Network [PDF]
Idiopathic ventricular arrhythmia (IVAs) is extra abnormal heartbeats disturbing the regular heart rhythm that can become fatal if left untreated. Cardiac catheter ablation is the standard approach to treat IVAs, however, a crucial prerequisite for the ablation is the localization of IVAs' origin.

Laser ablation loading of a radiofrequency ion trap [PDF]
The production of ions via laser ablation for the loading of radiofrequency (RF) ion traps is investigated using a nitrogen laser with a maximum pulse energy of 0.17 mJ and a peak intensity of about 250 MW/cm^2. A time-of-flight mass spectrometer is used to measure the ion yield and the distribution of the charge states. Singly charged ions of elements

Transient complete heart block following catheter ablation of a left lateral accessory pathway. [PDF]
A 16-year-old female with symptomatic Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome underwent catheter ablation of a left-sided lateral accessory pathway. The accessory pathway was eliminated with the first ablation lesion; however, the patient immediately ...

Effect of energy dissipation on radiofrequency ablation model in cardiac tissue: modelling, analysis and numerical simulation [PDF]
This paper deals with the mathematical analysis and numerical simulation of a new nonlinear ablation system modeling radiofrequency ablation phenomena in cardiac tissue, {which incorporates the effects of blood flow on the heat generated when ablation by radiofrequency. The model also considers the effects of viscous energy dissipation.

Laser ablation production of Ba, Ca, Dy, Er, La, Lu, and Yb ions [PDF]
We use a pulsed nitrogen laser to produce atomic ions by laser ablation, measuring the relative ion yield for several elements, including some that have only recently been proposed for use in cold trapped ion experiments. For barium, we monitor the ion yield as a function of the number of applied ablation pulses for different substrates.
