Radiofrequency exposure in the Neonatal Medium Care Unit
Environmental Research, 2017The aims of this study were to characterize electromagnetic fields of radiofrequency (RF-EMF) levels generated in a Neonatal Medium Care Unit and to analyze RF-EMF levels inside unit's incubators. Spot and long-term measurements were made with a dosimeter. The spot measurement mean was 1.51±0.48V/m.

Mediastinal Fibrosis and Radiofrequency Radiation Exposure: Is there an Association?
Respiration, 2009A 45-year-old officer, working for a period of 18 years at a military radar base, presented with progressive exertional dyspnea, dry cough, and hemoptysis. Subsequent evaluation demonstrated a left pulmonary artery occlusion as well as a left upper lobe bronchus stenosis, due to a dense fibrotic mediastinal mass.

Occupational exposure to radiofrequency fields in antenna towers
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2006Exposure of workers to radiofrequency fields was assessed in two medium-sized antenna towers. Towers had transmitting antennas from different networks, e.g. mobile phone networks, radio and digital TV sub-stations and amateur radio. The levels of radiofrequency fields were measured close to the ladders of the towers.

Evaluation of radiofrequency dielectric heaters workers exposure
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2007Radiofrequency dielectric heaters (RFDH) are widely used in the woodworking industry for gluing laminates by applying pressure and RF heating. The workers operating such equipment remain in the vicinity of the machinery all day and can therefore be exposed to considerable levels of electric and magnetic field at RFs. This work describes the method used

Assessment of occupational exposure to radiofrequency fields and radiation
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2004The use of personal monitors for the assessment of exposure to radiofrequency fields and radiation in potential future epidemiological studies of occupationally exposed populations has been investigated. Data loggers have been developed for use with a commercially available personal monitor and these allowed personal exposure records consisting of time-

Exposure of Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Radiation on Biochemical and Pathological Alterations
Neurology India, 2020In the era of globalization, too much dependency on mobile phones is a cause of concern. The present study was designed to evaluate the risk assessment of microwave radiation (MWR) at 1800 MHz frequency and specific absorption rate 0.433 (W/kg) on male Wistar rats.Animals were divided into two groups: the first group is the control group, and the second

A Suggested Limit for Population Exposure to Radiofrequency Radiation
Health Physics, 1983Unlike a number of other nations, the U.S. does not currently have guidelines for the exposure of the public to radiofrequency (RF) radiation. In order to determine whether the current data base was sufficient to support an interim determination of a limit for population exposure to RF radiation (0.5 MHz-100 GHz), a critical and comprehensive review of

Epidemiological studies of human exposures to radiofrequency radiation
International Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health, 1985The health effects to exposure to radiofrequency radiation (RFR) remain undefined and controversial. Epidemiological studies of human exposures to RFR are confounded by difficulties in determining the type and true extent of exposures, in selecting an appropriate control group for comparisons, in determining the existence and influence of many ...

A RADIOFREQUENCY RADIATION EXPOSURE APPARATUS
1970Abstract : A radiofrequency radiation exposure apparatus was developed and placed into operation at the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine. The rectangular coaxial device has dimensions of 4 3/4 ft. by 9 1/4 ft. by 30 ft., with a 6-ft.- wide center conductor. It is powered by a 50-kwp. transmitter and operates in a pulsed mode at frequencies of 10.5, 19.

Statistical analysis of real radiofrequencies exposure in a realistic environment
2010 10th Mediterranean Microwave Symposium, 2010In this paper, the general public daily exposure to radiofrequencies in indoor areas is investigated. The considered signals are FM, TV, and GSM over one day. The study focus on the determination of the distribution of FM, TV, and GSM signals in a realistic electromagnetic environment in Indoor distinguishing Urban and Rural locations.
