Drone based measurement system for radiofrequency exposure assessment [PDF]

open access: yesBioelectromagnetics, 2016
For the first time, a method to assess radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure of the general public in real environments with a true free‐space antenna system is presented. Using lightweight electronics and multiple antennas placed on a drone, it is possible to perform exposure measurements.

Reducing radiation exposure in an electrophysiology lab with introduction of newer fluoroscopic technology

open access: yesClinics and Practice, 2017
The use of fluoroscopic devices exposes patients and operators to harmful effects of ionizing radiation in an electrophysiology (EP) lab. We sought to know if the newer fluoroscopic technology (Allura Clarity) installed in a hybrid EP helps to reduce ...

Pulse modulated radiofrequency exposure influences cognitive performance

open access: yesInternational Journal of Radiation Biology, 2016
To investigate whether exposure to pulse modulated radiofrequency (PM RF) influences human cognitive performance, and whether it does so in a dose-dependent manner.Thirty-six healthy adults participated in a randomized, double-blind, counterbalanced provocation study.

Klebsiella pneumonia, a Microorganism that Approves the Non-linear Responses to Antibiotics and Window Theory after Exposure to Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz Electromagnetic Radiofrequency Radiation

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Physics and Engineering, 2015
Background: Drug resistance is widely believed to be an increasingly serious threat to global public health. We have previously reported that short term exposure of microorganisms to diagnostic ultrasound waves could significantly alter their ...

Effects of low-dose radiation produced during radiofrequency ablation guided by 3D mapping on mitochondrial apoptosis in diabetic cardiomyocytes

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders
Background Three-dimensional (3D) mapping has been widely used in the clinical radiofrequency ablation of arrhythmia; however, the dose of intraoperative radiation exposure has not been determined.

Does radiofrequency radiation impact sleep? A double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, crossover pilot study

open access: yesFrontiers in Public Health
The most common source of Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Field (RF-EMF) exposures during sleep includes digital devices, yet there are no studies investigating the impact of multi-night exposure to electromagnetic fields emitted from a baby monitor on ...
