Pulse modulated radiofrequency exposure influences cognitive performance

open access: yesInternational Journal of Radiation Biology, 2016
To investigate whether exposure to pulse modulated radiofrequency (PM RF) influences human cognitive performance, and whether it does so in a dose-dependent manner.Thirty-six healthy adults participated in a randomized, double-blind, counterbalanced provocation study.

All‐Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Muscle Advancement With Pan Scapular Release and Using the Scapular Triangular View

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract An all‐arthroscopic rotator cuff muscle advancement technique is presented for posterosuperior massive tears. This procedure involves subperiosteal release of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus from the scapula while preserving continuity with the levator scapulae and the rhomboid muscles.

Anchor‐Free Capsular Augmentation Using the Reflected Head of the Rectus Femoris in Hip Arthroscopy

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Capsular integrity is a key factor in hip stability after arthroscopic procedures. Inadequate capsular closure may contribute to postoperative microinstability, persistent pain, and suboptimal outcomes, particularly in patients undergoing extensive capsulotomy or procedures affecting proximal capsular tissue.

Computer‐Assisted Hip Arthroscopy for Portal Establishment and Suture Anchor Placement

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Hip arthroscopy is the gold standard for treating femoroacetabular impingement syndrome and acetabular labral tears. Portal establishment and suture anchor placement are crucial steps for ensuring the success of the surgery. However, because of the complex anatomy, deep location, and narrow joint space of the hip joint, the learning curve for ...

Exposure Assessment to Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields in Occupational Military Scenarios: A Review

open access: yes, 2022
(1) Background: Radiofrequency radiations are used in most devices in current use and, consequently, the assessment of the human exposure to the radiofrequency radiations has become an issue of strong interest. Even if in the military field there is wide

Arthroscopic Technique for Anterior Calcaneal Process Avulsion Fractures and Bifurcate Ligament Injuries Using Suture Tape Augmentation

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Avulsion fractures of the anterior process of the calcaneus are frequently associated with injury to the bifurcate ligament and may result in persistent lateral midfoot pain and instability. Although open fixation or fragment excision has traditionally been used, these approaches may fail to restore ligamentous function and joint stability ...

Acute effects of radiofrequency exposure to mobile phone upon human cutaneous microvascular tone

open access: yes, 2012
The study investigated in adults specific effects of radiofrequency field to mobile phone upon skin vasomotricity by laser Doppler flowmetry. The results showed larger BFc values under RF exposure than those under sham exposure, at equal value of skin ...
