An Inductively-Coupled Plasma Electrothermal Radiofrequency Thruster

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2020
The “cubesat” form factor has been adopted as the defacto standard for a cost effective and modular, nano-satellite platform. Many commercial options exist for nearly all components required to build such satellite; however, there is a limited range of ...

High‐power short‐duration versus standard radiofrequency ablation: Insights on lesion metrics

open access: yesCardiovascular Electrophysiology, 2018
Radiofrequency (RF) lesion metrics are influenced by underlying parameters like RF power, duration, and contact force (CF), and utilization of lesion metric indices (ablation index [AI]) is a proposed strategy to predict lesion quality.

Comparative Study of Gas and Liquid Flow in Packed Beds Using Phase‐Contrast MRI

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
This work presents applications of phase‐contrast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to investigate fluid flow fields and temperature in packed beds. Comparison of ethane (C2H6) gas flow with that of water flow is done at similar flow conditions. The temperature of water is also measured using MRI.

RF coils: A practical guide for nonphysicists

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2018
Radiofrequency (RF) coils are an essential MRI hardware component. They directly impact the spatial and temporal resolution, sensitivity, and uniformity in MRI. Advances in RF hardware have resulted in a variety of designs optimized for specific clinical

Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation [PDF]

open access: yes
Radiofrequency (RF) radiation is the energyused to transmit information wirelessly.Cellular, television, and other antennas located on roof tops, sides of buildings, newsgathering trucks, and other structures can give off levels of RF radiation that are ...

Reflex seizures and epilepsy surgery: A network approach case‐based exploration

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Context Reflex seizures (RS) are defined by their consistent provocation by specific stimuli, encompassing a broad range from elementary sensory inputs to complex cognitive tasks. While RS are often encountered in clinical practice, their surgical management remains sparsely reported and poorly systematized.

9.4‐Tesla magnetic resonance imaging in focal epilepsy patients with high‐resolution surface‐based profiling of focal cortical dysplasias

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective The detection of subtle epileptogenic lesions such as focal cortical dysplasias (FCDs) is a clinical challenge in the management of drug‐resistant focal epilepsy (DRFE). Ultra‐high‐field (UHF) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) offers increased signal‐to‐noise ratios and spatial resolution compared to 3‐T MRI and may improve diagnostic
