Visual Ensemble Analysis With Deep Learning Prediction for Studying the Effect of Tissue Properties on Radiofrequency Ablation

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
We present an interactive visual analysis tool to study how patient‐specific tissue properties influence radiofrequency ablation outcomes. Using a deep‐learning surrogate model, we predict ablation volumes for unseen parameter settings with accuracy superior to interpolation, supporting improved treatment planning. Abstract Radiofrequency (RF) ablation

Biocatalytic synthesis of S‐adenosyl‐l‐methionine analogues for allosteric activation of cystathionine‐β‐synthase

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Cystathionine‐β‐synthase (CBS) helps remove harmful homocysteine and supports the production of protective sulfur‐containing molecules. Using its natural activator, S‐adenosyl‐l‐methionine, as a template, we designed and tested 15 analogues. Three activated and stabilized the enzyme, including the newly identified S‐2‐amino‐adenosyl‐l‐methionine. These

Catheter Ablation: Evolution and Efficiencies

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The present review includes a discussion the goals and pitfalls of efficiency in the medical profession, a historical perspective on the evolution of catheter ablation in the field of electrophysiology (EP), and the data regarding the relationship between efficiency and outcomes in the EP lab. Focus on efficacy is critical to maximize resource

Feasibility, Safety, and Efficacy of Pulsed Field Ablation for Ventricular Arrhythmias: Insights From a Large Health System Registry in the United States

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Pulsed field ablation (PFA) is an emerging non‐thermal ablation modality with proven safety in atrial arrhythmia ablation. However, data on its performance for ventricular arrhythmias (VA) remain limited. Objective To evaluate the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of PFA for complex VA in a multicenter real‐world US registry ...
