MRI: an insight

open access: yesAl-Azhar Assiut Medical Journal, 2018
MRI has been a potential tool for lesion diagnostics in the human body. It is accurate owing to the sound biological principle behind it. It has an array of unique features but is not free from certain constraints that hinder the smooth progression of ...

Optimizing radiofrequency assisted cryogenic freezing to improve meat microstructure and quality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Radiofrequency-assisted nitrogen cryogenic freezing previously proposed was optimized to increase meat quality. Continuous cryogenic (CCF, for 2.5 min) and pulsed cryogenic (PCF, 3 s pulse with 10 s interval for 10 min) freezing were set up.

Modular Metamaterials for Adaptable MRI Signal Control: Combining Dipole Array With a New Hexagon‐Based Artificial Dielectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible, hexagonally packed artificial dielectric providing a wide range of effective permittivities (εr ≈ 30–1400) without lumped elements was developed for clinical and ultra‐high‐field MRI. Combined with modular passive‐dipole arrays, the system enables adaptable RF field shaping through electric‐ and magnetic‐dipole tuning.

Habitat‐Specific Design Strategies for Untethered Soft Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Habitat shapes the design of untethered soft robots. Across land, water, air, and living tissues, environmental constraints govern viable combinations of compliant structures, actuation mechanisms, and energy delivery. This review connects these constraints with robotic performance and identifies design principles for advancing adaptable, durable, and ...

Pancreatic adenocarcinoma response to chemotherapy enhanced with non-invasive radio frequency evaluated via an integrated experimental/computational approach

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Although chemotherapy combined with radiofrequency exposure has shown promise in cancer treatment by coupling drug cytotoxicity with thermal ablation or thermally-induced cytotoxicity, limited access of the drug to tumor loci in hypo-vascularized lesions
