The Diagnostic Yield of Dental Radiography and Cone-Beam Computed Tomography for the Identification of Dentoalveolar Lesions in Cats

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2019
The objective of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic yield of dental radiography (DR) and 3 cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) software modules for the identification of 32 pre-defined dentoalveolar lesions in cats. For 5 feline cadaver heads and

An Intraoral Miniature X-ray Tube Based on Carbon Nanotubes for Dental Radiography

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology, 2016
A miniature X-ray tube based on a carbon-nanotube electron emitter has been employed for the application to a dental radiography. The miniature X-ray tube has an outer diameter of 7 mm and a length of 47 mm.

Construction of unbiased dental template and parametric dental model for precision digital dentistry [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Dental template and parametric dental models are important tools for various applications in digital dentistry. However, constructing an unbiased dental template and accurate parametric dental models remains a challenging task due to the complex anatomical and morphological dental structures and also low volume ratio of the teeth.

NeBLa: Neural Beer-Lambert for 3D Reconstruction of Oral Structures from Panoramic Radiographs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Panoramic radiography (Panoramic X-ray, PX) is a widely used imaging modality for dental examination. However, PX only provides a flattened 2D image, lacking in a 3D view of the oral structure. In this paper, we propose NeBLa (Neural Beer-Lambert) to estimate 3D oral structures from real-world PX.

Digital evaluation of the influence of interruption of the fixation process on radiographic contrast and base-plus-fog density in three commercial brands of radiographic films

open access: yesRevista de Odontologia da UNESP
INTRODUCTION : With the interest in anticipating access to the result of intraoral radiography, the radiographic processing is frequently neglected, compromising image quality.

Development of MDM2‐Targeting PROTAC for Advancing Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a creative pipeline for developing MDM2‐targeting PROTACs (MDM2‐PROTACs) for application in bone regeneration. The developed PROTACs (CL144 and CL174) are validated for their degradation efficiency and osteogenic effects in human BMSCs.

Efficacy of biologics for alveolar ridge preservation/reconstruction and implant site development: An American Academy of Periodontology best evidence systematic review

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, Volume 93, Issue 12, Page 1827-1847, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Background The use of biologics may be indicated for alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) and reconstruction (ARR), and implant site development (ISD). The present systematic review aimed to analyze the effect of autologous blood‐derived products (ABPs), enamel matrix derivative (EMD), recombinant human platelet‐derived growth factor‐BB (rhPDGF ...

Efficacy of Periapical Radiography and Three Cone-Beam Computed Tomography Systems for Detection of Peri-Implant Dehiscence Defects: An in- Vitro Study [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Physics and Engineering, 2020
Background: Early detection of peri-implant bone defects is highly important because these defects eventually lead to gingival recession, bone loss and implant failure.

A review of dental informatics : current trends and future directions [PDF]

open access: yesDental Research: An International Journal (DRIJ) Vol.5, No 1 2023, 2023
Dental informatics is a rapidly evolving field that combines dentistry with information technology to improve oral health care delivery, research, and education. Electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth, digital imaging, and other digital tools have revolutionised how dental professionals diagnose, treat, and manage oral health conditions.
