ABSTRACT Cousin syndrome is a rare skeletal dysplasia characterized by distinctive facial features, humeroradial synostosis, and hypoplasia of the ilia and scapula. Since the original description of the phenotype in two cases by Cousin in 1982, only three additional cases have been published.

This study demonstrates that using a Pedicle screw‐Rod configuration for the external fixation of non‐articular tibial osteotomy aligns well with the principles of biological osteosynthesis, resulting in secondary bone healing characterized by callus formation and neovascularization.

A novel extraluminal silicone stent was developed and applied in a rabbit model of tracheomalacia. The stent effectively maintained airway patency and minimized tissue reaction without causing cartilage damage. This approach may offer a safe and effective alternative for treating tracheal collapse in small animals.
