Plain radiography, excretion radiography, and contrast radiography
2015Plain radiography is both a primary abdominal examination technique and an initial component of subsequent excretion and contrast radiographic studies. Excretion radiography is performed by means of antegrade opacification of the renal collecting systems, ureters, and bladder following intravenous contrast administration.

The Canadian C-spine rule for radiography in alert and stable trauma patients.
Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), 2001CONTEXT High levels of variation and inefficiency exist in current clinical practice regarding use of cervical spine (C-spine) radiography in alert and stable trauma patients.

The various types of blurring occurring in radiography are examined. Experimental work was carried out by photometering density curves of a sharp edge and the densities were converted to exposures. For the case of screen blurring an exponential function was found to fit experimental results very well.

Quantitative radiography in osteoarthritis: Microfocal radiography
Baillière's Clinical Rheumatology, 1996Quantitative macroradiography of patients with hand and knee OA, employing standardized radiographic and mensural procedures, permit: accurate and reproducible measurements of all radiographic features. significant changes in JSW and osteophyte number and size to be detected within as short a period as 18 months.

The painful wrist frequently poses a diagnostic dilemma. Although increased understanding of normal carpal motion has led to more constructive use of roentgenography, the diagnostic acumen of the examiner is greatly enhanced by the standardization of radiographic views as well as by the use of special projections and when indicated, arthrograms.
