In photosensitivity, there are increased ROS, resulting in augmented PAF agonists and increased MVP release. This process can be blocked by aSMase inhibitors.

The diffuse component contributes to the exposure received by humans and to the risk of skin cancer and sun‐related eye disorders. This review aims to determine future research directions for the measurement and modeling of diffuse solar UV radiation.
