Radiometric Calibration by Rank Minimization

IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 2013
We present a robust radiometric calibration framework that capitalizes on the transform invariant low-rank structure in the various types of observations, such as sensor irradiances recorded from a static scene with different exposure times, or linear structure of irradiance color mixtures around edges.

Self-Calibrating Polarising Radiometric Calibration

open access: yes2018 IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2018
We present a self-calibrating polarising radiometric calibration method. From a set of images taken from a single viewpoint under different unknown polarising angles, we recover the inverse camera response function and the polarising angles relative to the first angle.

Radiometric-Waveguide Calibrators

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2007
We describe the electromagnetic and thermal design, performance, and fabrication for two types of radiometric- waveguide load calibrators. A simple theory is presented and used to minimize the total volume of the absorber structure. These devices have been used from room temperature to below 4 K in microwave to millimeter wavebands.

Radiometric self calibration

Proceedings. 1999 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (Cat. No PR00149), 2003
A simple algorithm is described that computes the radiometric response function of an imaging system, from images of an arbitrary scene taken using different exposures. The exposure is varied by changing either the aperture setting or the shutter speed. The algorithm does not require precise estimates of the exposures used.

Radiometric Calibration of a Hyperspectral Microwave Sounder

2023 48th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz), 2023
Hyperspectral microwave sounding of atmospheric temperature and humidity profiles is a promising application for spaceborne weather observation. This approach extends the capabilities of more traditional infrared sounders to include incloud retrievals, significantly expanding the observational scope of the remote sensing technique.
